I give up. I'm done for a week to lick my wounds.

Maybe my internal barometer that has been so right for so long has finally gone screwy. I don't know how else to put it as I'm just not seeing things. But on top of it, I can’t win a 80/20 or greater to save my life.

This f*cked on fifth street by fulltiltpoker.com needs to stop. Seriously what the hell... I had just had a flush riverd on me with A4h while I sat with KK and 2:1 chip lead. Bet 4x the BB and got called. Trips on the flop with K hit and went all-in as it was heads up. The guy called. Rivered the flush… grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Fifth street again on the following hand... WTF. I was LB. Posting the BB leaves me with 540 which at this point is pretty much one BB. It was heads up with everyone else folding. Figured I'd take my shot and hope for a coinflip. 60/40 on the flop. 90/10 on the flop... LOSER on the river… I give up...

So I basically turned $50 in to over $500. Then turned $500 in to $78. That is an enormous swing for me personally. So I’m gonna take some time off. Regroup and see if I can turn that $78 into $700 and win a f*cking 80/20 for once.

Hey dude, you are playing way out of your league for turbo SnGs. Those things have enormous variance, and you should have at least 30 buy-ins for whatever level you are playing at. Granted you are running bad but you shouldn't be playing 55s unless you've got at least a few grand in your account.

I play for fun not to scratch out something extra. I fail to see how having more money in my account will let me win an 80/20 and not lose it on the river. Usually I play at the $33+3 level with an occasional $55+5 or $110+9 thrown in and do quite well... Er did quite well.

Of course I want to win but the money isn't the issue. If earning a living or supplementing my income were an issue, yeah, I would be inclined to agree with you. But it isn't and I know I have the skill to play at this level and higher so I do and do it for fun once in a while. 14 hours over 7 days isn't a whole lot committed.

The issue is this run of bad luck I've got. Trust me I dropped down to $5 + .5 only to have AA cracked by pocket ducks. It still happens at the lower tables, lol. What's killing me is going from finishing in the money 46% of the time over 28 SnGs playing $33 and $55. Then finishing in the money I think once over the same amount of tourney's played.

The entire time looking back on my play not really finding any mistakes or places where I would change my play. I'm just finding myself on the losing end of 80/20's all the damn time.

Yeah and what I'm trying to tell you is that turbo SnGs have a low ROI and high variance. You could be a pro at them and go on a 30 - 40 buy-in downswing. If you're lookin for more fun then just play regular SnGs.
