FTP is g00t now

So far I've played 30 of the $6 HU matches, won 18 lost 12, one of the wins was an $11.50 where I took care of the match in 5 hands. My ROI% at the $6s is 12.55% right now, which I'd like to see go up to 15% - 17% at least before I move up to the $11s. My guess is those aren't much more difficult than the ones I'm playing right now. For the month I've played 74 HU matches with a ROI% around 13%.

These matches on FTP go sickeningly quick. Out of thirty, only two of them lasted more then 10 minutes (13 min and 14 min) and two others lasted 9 minutes, the rest 7 minutes or less, probably with an average around 4.5 minutes. Plugging some math in ...

2 tables at 4.5 min per match = 60/4.5*2 = roughly 27 an hour. With a ROI% of 15%, that's $25/hour. Rakeback kicks that up a bit, by $1.80 an hour. That's some pretty damn good money for playing low stakes SnGs. I'd really like to build my roll up to at least $700 before I go to $11s. Hopefully I'll hit a downswing before then, I'd really like to know what my ROI is. 2p2 had a post somewhere using a binomial calculation showing that I need about 200 tournies before I can get a solid confidence interval for my HUSnG ROI.

I've been donking it up at 10NL a bit too, up like $18 in that over 500 hands, but rakeback kicks in a lot harder in the cash games that in these SnGs.

Assuming I'm not terribly tired, tonight I'll probably be playing at the Rockford games at the 1/2 NL table. Probably bring $200 with me again and hopefully win some money this time.

My hourly rate calculation is off by a lot ... should be closer to 8 minutes a match. I have been getting a bit too aggro at the middle part of some matches causing them to end quicker (some win some loss, mostly loss). Hourly rate is closer to $13 ... still better than most college jobs.
