On the gambling bill:
The law is ridiculous, the two big reasons I can see why one would want to pass the law are:
a) stop overseas companies from getting large revenues from our citizens
b) protect people from themselves in terms of sportsbetting, online casinos, online poker.

Reason a is ridiculous because they could easily pass a law requiring some sort of tax of some sort to be put on these foreign companies, and I'm sure they'd be happy to fork over some revenue, considering the alternative is losing 50 - 75% of their business.

Reason b is also stupid because then why don't we make alcohol, driving, gambling in a real casino, and other acts that people could possibly do to cause harm to themselves. If people have gambling issues, real gambling issues, they are going to lose their money anyways, so whats the difference of where it goes to. And if Congress doesn't like where that money is going, see point a.

On 7-card-stud:
I believe I can beat this game easily at low levels 1/2 - 3/6 or so on Pokerstars, it just requires quite a bit of patience on my part, and continueing to adapt my playing style to the looseness of my opponents, i.e. being able to lay down hands when I'm clearly beaten, making raises at the right times, etc.

Right now I really just don't have the time/money to put more money back into an online poker bankroll, but some day again I will do it.

On hold'em:
I still don't understand after all the theory I've learned over the past year and a half, how I was once a winning NL cash game player, and now I get scared of playing at 25NL tables. In numbers my last 5000 hands I'm actually up 3.90 PTBB/100 for 25NL but I feel like I make way too many mistakes even for that level.

On live poker:
I'm giving it a shot again, trying out at .5/1 and .25/.50 game at school ... gonna see how I fair against other people my age and determine whether or not I should be playing live hold'em.
