Swinging for the fences ...

Permanent Linkby TheSalche on Sat Dec 16, 2006 2:24 am GMT

Past few days have had some huge swings for me ... My BR really should be at about $750 or so, but I took some pretty bad hits over at a really loose 2/4 table where I lost rolled 3s to runner runner runner straight (did I mention it was a gutshot too?), then trip aces loses to TWO players who were chasing gutshot straights of the same rank (cards between 5 and 10), and right after that lost AA in the hole after I had to fold 5th ... just sucked after those first two.

Anyway I had a poor run at 1/2 for a bit too which brought my BB/100 down to 2.9, lowest its been in a long time. My BR was down to $430 early this week.

However after a really great session, with some luck (two hands where I limped/called a bet on 3rd with a PP in the hole, I hit the case card on 4th to make trips ... note the pairs were JJ and AA, not 22 or some shit like that).

I need to make a post-it note that says "Do not call raises on the river with one pair." That will save me a lot of $$$

Going to Arizona till the 23rd, at which point I only need 1065 FPPs, or 710 raked hands, or about 2130 hands, at 300 hands a day over the week between Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. Once I get GoldStar and keep it, I should be able to get an iPod from FPPs in about 2.5 -> 3 months depending on how much I play ...

BR: $604.13, gasp, I'm finally rolled properly for 1/2 stud which I have been playing since I had $50 ...
