2356 hands logged todayWow, that was some f*cking session I had there. I played about 10 or so hours straight and it has really killed me.
So, what happened yesterday? Well, I played around 2k hands yesterday and had a shitty day. I couldn't really hit a thing, the big pairs werent really holding up and i found myself down a few buyins at omaha. I wasn't playing that great yesterday, but it was quite a few beats, and hands notholding up like all in with KK v a flush draw and them hitting and so on. I was chipleader in a tourney, and promptly went out OTM with some sickly hands not holding up but oh well, on to today. So this was by far my biggest session ever. I really felt in the zone today and I didn't realise how drained I was till I stopped playing. I feel a stats post coming up soon, but until then I will give you a bit of an update on what happened today. There were a significant amount of 2nd best hands today, for example trips v trips w higher kicker and the most notable beat was AA, I raise, guy calls, flop comes A99. I decide to bet out here, he calls, turn is a king, I check he bets, I raise he goes all in I call gladly with the nuts. He has Q9 and you know where this is going, yep, river 9 for a stack and a bit. He did say some nice stuff about me though like how well I took it, but yeah what can you do when 98% of the time you take his stack, nothing. I got ragged on today about a call, so I thought I would go through it and ask what you would do. http://www.pokerhand.org/?441604 I had no real read on brittab here, except he was playing standard, 23% VPIP and a 7% PFR I raise standard UTG with QQ, and he re-raises me. Here I do put him on a big hand which involves an A or K, which is why I just call the PFR, and I get 2 others guys coming along for the ride. Now, the push all in doesn't scare me too much and this is why. He should know that me nor the other guys will just call that amount of raise with suited connectors or hands, so he can't be scared of the flush draw. If someone has a set then he is just pushing his AA/KK for a loss, so why all in? If he had AA/KK here I really think that he would have either possibly checked here to induce a bet, or bet a smaller amount for value. Why? because I think thats the most logical play and he is not an overly bad player. Now, I have to worry about the two others guys. They have obviously called with PP's too I'd imagine, but I think both of these opponents would re-raise with TT, they are a lot more aggro, so it leaves 77 or 99. I decided at this point to go for a gamble they didn't have it and pushed all in myself. If they did have it then at least I have outs!! Looking back on it, it is quite a risky play, because of the two left to act, but with such a solid read on the first opp, I got a bit caught up and didn't really think of those two as much as I should have. So what do you think of this? The reason they were ragging on me was not because of the two opps left to act, but because they put the other guy on KK/AA because of the reraise. If the guy had bet less than just an all in push I probably would have folded or if he checked I'd probably check here as well. That's the only hand that really stands out for this session so I will leave it at that. So, I had a bad day thursday and a good day today, I am just hoping that I can take advantage of the weekend fishies over the next few days. Oh, and on another note, I have seen the WCOOP schedule this year, and I have decided at the back of my mind I would like to play at least 1 event this year. I think I am going to leave the Hold'em events and aim at the stud and omaha tournaments. I am going to speak with a few people and sort out some stuff in order to try and play at least one of these, so you should hear more about that in the future. Night Night. xx 0 Comments Viewed 3 times |
