Party Bonus, WSOP, Rake4poker and Dr Who!Well I finished the Omaha book within two days and it was a fantastic read. Probably the best part of the book is towards the end after reading most of the material and you think
"Well, I want to know how to play...." Then he has a chapter dedicated to common questions, and there were most of my answers. So I have been playing various Omaha games. I am trying to stick to PL$50 and L 1/2 for variance reasons and bankroll requirements but it is difficult and I will usually play $100 and $200. It is going well, and it's cool that my PT rates me as a bad player because my W$D is low. I was going to showdown too much with bad hands, so sorting out that leak now. I have recently been finding it difficult to know what to play recently. I want to play poker, but choosing a game now is hard for me because I like every single one, so I decided to make a little generator to help me. I would post it up, but it only really applies to the games I know, so won't bother. I got offered a 25% up to $100 bonus on party so I took that and have cleared around 300 hands so far playing 2/4 FL 6 max. I wanted to have the majority done by now, but I have been really busy with some other stuff that I will tell you about in a minute. So, the World series of poker is amongst us and in full swing, so I decided to take a shot at qualifiying at PokerBlue. The tournament is a $100 buyin and there was only 90 playing yesterday so some good overlay as the prizepool is $12k. I busted around 30th place I think. It was annoying because after an early double up with KK and laying down JJ correctly a few times, I was stealing pots and playing good positional poker. I am in the sb and buddy makes mediocre raise from MP. It's folded round and I call with 88. I have been on the table with this guy all the way through the tournament and I have a good read on him/her. The flop comes 797. I know the continuation bet is coming and buddy would have to go all in to cover the pot size. I make a decision here. I can put them all in here and take down this pot, but seeing as I am aiming for first I decide to check. I am pretty sure if buddy doesn't go all in then they have a legit hand. If they push I am about 80% sure overcards. In hindsight, I think buddy would have called all in anyway....They had AK.....Right no Ace...Turn:Ace, River:Ace, not that it mattered, so I was crippled. I open pushed with A5s in LP and was called with 99 to go out. Oh well. Back to shorthanded limit to clear this bonus then and not packing my bags to go to vegas. So some other news that is related to poker but not me playing. First of all, rake4poker.com So we have now added pokerblue to our list of rakeback partners which is exciting news. We are offering 20% rakeback currently and this move is leading industry, you won't find PokerBlue on any other site. They have a great promotion running with TeamPB and offer qualifiers for the $100 buy in to qualifiy for the WSOP, so check it out at www.rake4poker.com I have also been very busy with a top secret project that should be released in the next week or so. It involves poker and other aspects of gambling, but more will come clear when we have rolled it out. Right, I think that's about it, time to grind some 2/4 and get most of this bonus cleared. Oh and before I get, it's the season finale of Dr Who tonight. I absolutely love this show, it is probably the best thing on TV right now and I am really excited about it. I am going to buy the boxset next week of the last series. I am not really too bothered if people don't read this. It helps me to get things off my chest and I like it, although I think I am going to start an eblogger one or whatever they are called to drum up a bit of traffic. TaTa! 0 Comments Viewed 2 times |
