I played around 500 hands on absolute poker .25/.50 tables tonight and man - I was getting cold decked like crazy.

This hand was another cold-deck, i hit a card on the turn that completely f*cked me. I really should have bet this hand on the flop and then folded if he re-raised, so there's clearly room for improvement.

Aside from these coolers, I had pocket aces cracked 3 times -despite betting it aggressively on the flop and turn- 2 KK, both lost and 3 QQ, all lost. Only once did I call on the river when I probably should have folded, but that hand was painful and really dumb. I lack discipline sometimes, the river is a clear fold here, I can't think of a reason why I called:

My 300$ deposit is down to 210, which kinda sucks. At least I'm getting rakeback....

Those are some tough ones there. My only advice would be on the last hand check behind the turn. Very wet board that hit a lot of hands. This is a way ahead/way behind situation, and I think checking behind the turn makes the river a lot easier to fold or at least lose less money.

You are right, my 2 options on the last hand was to check/call from the turn on, or to bet on the turn and check/fold on the river.



I wanted to bet the turn in case he was sitting on a hand like KQ. By the river there is literally no hand that I can beat here, I'm a calling station.
