Grinding

I have logged about 1k hands of NL50 in the past 2 days , I ran really badly yesterday for the first hour of 5 tabling. I got my money in as a 70/30 a bunch of times but got outdrawn like a mother. I have some hand histories from today's session that I'm gonna post, although yesterday I probably had more interesting hands, but I don't feel like digging through pokertracker at the moment.

I came in 2nd in a 5+.5 45 person tournament. I would have crushed my man heads up, but this happened: Keep in mind that I had gone all-in on the previous 2-3 hands on the flop....

PokerStars Game #8006977673: Tournament #40893054, $5.00+$0.50 Hold'em No Limit - Level X (400/800) - 2007/01/18 - 18:49:44 (ET)

It would have been nice to win that pot... but whatever, I'm content with 2nd, despite the fact that I know I would have taken this guy apart if i won that race.

This hand doesn't have many opportunities for mistake, but I am very curious how you pple act with Suited Connectors on the button in a full-ring NL50 game. For the most part I'll limp with suited connectors but fold to a raise. I'm pretty sure my play isn't horrible here, but is calling 5xBB a leak with this type of hand in a heads-up pot?

MIN RAISE FTW!! Actually the only reason (other than him sucking) that I got his chips was b/c I didn't re-raise PF.

To be honest I was slightly worried when he called, i was defnitely expecting to see QQ or AQ, but I got lucky and my opponent made a dumb call.

I played the 25K GTD earlier today, I got through the rebuy period w/o having to rebuy. I bought the add-on for another 5$ and we were down to about 500 people. I got unlucky and flopped top pair with KQ on a Q102 board. My opponent 3bet before the flop and went all-in after I bet the flop so I folded and he showed his AA. About 4-5 hands after I picked up AJ suited and pushed my last 6K, LP went all-in to isolate and it folded around - he had Q-8s. I flopped a gutshot and a flush draw but missed my 17 outs cause he hit a queen.

I'm pumped about playing so much, I haven't really had 3-4 hour sessions of 4-5 tabling, but I am enjoying myself doing it. IT's fun to be supercharged about poker. I'm still under 1K at stars, but I'm getting close.

PEACE
