pokerhaven't been blogging a whole lot the past couple weeks.
poker-wise I've really been working on tournament play, i've probably played about 50of the 45-man Turbo 6.50 SNGs on stars and my ROI is 21.46, 0 wins, 3 seconds 31% ITM. I've learned a lot about tournament play. My biggest leak at this point is not being decisive about my play. I waste too many chips on stupid check-raise bluffs or check-call bluffs w/ intention of betting later on. The tricky aggressive side just wants to beat pple out of pots that way, but realistically at these levels, especially in the turbo format, you can play a little more straightforward. You gotta just bet on the flop if you are going to try to win the pot, especially with A high, don't wait till the turn to represent. Don't assume your opponent doesn't have a hand. Some other incredibly embarrasing stats, after 14K cash game hands at many different limits I am up a total of $26.00 ship it! LOL at this, fortunately I kick ass at HU SNGs and tournaments in general so that's where my poker profits are coming from. I'm actually pretty discouraged about NL cash games, i feel like I should be making more money in this area. IT's bullshit playing .05c/.10c though, I am considering just not playing too much NLcash until I work my roll up to 1K and can stand to play NL50. Although I like to be very productive when I play online, my multitabling skills are crazy now, I just put on my headphones and slip into a really good poker zone. pokerstars has beautiful software for multitabling, i just resize all the screens to the smallest and cascade them diagonnally from top left to bottom right. My lil' 15" laptop screen can easily handle 8-9 tables going, it's pretty impressive. I am going to buy a new computer! Not now, maybe in 6-8 months to possibly a year. Newegg.com kicks such ass, you can get LCD widescreen 19" monitors for about 175$, and really nice pcs for less than $500. I can't wait, I really can't. I really oughta win a 55GTD or something... that would benefit my life greatly. Although i'm feeling great about my chances in donkaments. 0 Comments Viewed 2 times |
