The dream DiesThis is a sad day for online poker and my life.
I was helplessly minding my own business, sleeping late into the afternoon as usual when I hear awful and strange noises coming from my computer. They sounded like really insense clicks and whirrs. I was annoyed and tired so I went over to it and turned it off so I could do my best to sleep off this chest-cold that I'm dealing with. A couple hours later I got out of bed and attempted to turn on my laptop. I am faced with a blank screen and more loud clicks and whirrs, and nothing is loading. I go into setup, attempt to do a HDD scan, and 10% into the test it says my disk in unreadable and immediately shuts off. So basically I no longer have a computer. Right now I'm typing on my brother's Mac, but I obv. wont be able to use it to play poker... March Silver Star... a hundread $11 SNGs, 5K hands of NL25... none of these goals are possible and I honestly don't know when I'll be able to get back on my feet to play poker again. Plus all of the Poker Tracker data that I've saved over the past 4-5 months will be lost, not to mention music and school shit. Yikes. My aunt works at Microsoft and she says she has a decent 6 year old computer that she wants to donate to someone, so perhaps I'll be able to get my hands on it, but until then I will be without the internet and without a computer. OMG I'm so sad right now 2 Comments Viewed 3 times

RE:The dream Diesman thats pretty rough.. sorry dude
RE:The dream DiesUpdate:
It turns out that I will be able to pick up a free used computer from my aunt+uncle, so I might be up and running by next week, in which case I would have to have marathon sessions to accomplish my monthly goals... It's march 22nd, I have 9 days... I dunno what to do about my laptop, I really want to recover some stuff from the HD and I hope that's possible. Losing PT stats would suck, although I'm excited for the time when I actually buy a nice computer and can start up a whole new database, because I'm pretty sure by that point I'll have a much better grasp on poker and winning. Until that time, I think I'm going to play a lot less poker online. I'm gonna be pretty busy over the spring/summer so I definitely wont have as much time to focus on poker, but in the fall I'll be starting school and I'll have saved enough money by then so I'll be an unemployed student with lots of time on his hands to play poker. I have to re-read HOH 1+2 and also NL theory and practice. And take notes. I am still gonna play live poker as often as possible. Okay thats all for now wow randomy
