What's new Mr Magoo? by crack on Tue Jun 13, 2006 10:08 pm GMT
Well I didnt really want to post again till I knew this thing was for public use.

So what's new? Well I have stagnated a bit when it comes to playing poker. I am not really playing bad, although at least 2 moves that were bad would have turned break even days into winning days.

It's good that I can actually identify mistakes. I usually identify them just milli seconds after doing them, then they call or reraise me and it is 100% confirmed my Ace High is not that good.

Anyway, made some good progress the other day. SB v BB blind war

I have 66 folded round, i raise, he reraises I call. Flop 6** Rainbow. ZING

I lead with a pot sized bet. He Calls. I make a 3/4 pot bet on the turn, he calls. River is a King, I make about another 3/4 pot size bet, he raises me all in.

No surely not a two outer on the river?

I Call, Oh yeah you better believe it.

It's not a bad beat, I'd probably put me on an overpair to the 6 high and call down (Well probably have him all in on the...

Like a virgin by Cheech3398 on Tue Jun 13, 2006 8:43 pm GMT
A blog huh? I've never had one before.

Alright I'll give it a shot since I'm so popular on the net.

I started playing poker just before the craze took our society over a few years ago. I started playing with friends, not really knowing what I was doing. I won my first tournament due to luck and never looked back. I also tried my hand online at Party long before I was prepared to do so, and got lucky then too. I turned 50 bucks into about 800, but ever since then its been downhill.

I took a long time off once I moved to the greatest spot on Earth, aka the Happy Valley. Now since summer has rolled around and I am once again left with nothing to do in suburban Cleveland, I'm about to begin with some bonus whoring and eventually a mix of ring games and MTTs.

As a poker player I have always been strongly influenced by my surroundings and seem to take everything at face value (not good). I am the definition of an emotional roller coaster. Ill cash into a site knowing full well I...

So...poker blog. I've meant to have one for quite some time, but never felt like putting the effort to sign up at a site and keep it updated. Going through THP makes it a bit easier, so maybe I'll keep up. Or not. Don't expect anything spectacular, I'm a pretty boring guy. I may rundown my whole history with poker soon enough, partially for myself to recap what I've done and where I've been with poker for the past three-ish years, and to provide what I'm sure will be a superbly entertaining coming of age tale.

For now, bonus whoring going well, cleared nearly 1 grand in the past two weeks, about half bonus money and *gasp* half me winning! Huzzah. Haven't seen this kind of poker-related dough since January, so it feels pretty good. Here's to hoping it'll continue.

So the first of many, I hope! by crack on Wed Jun 07, 2006 7:25 pm GMT
Surely the most eagerly awaited poker blog this year? Nah probably not. I was quite against a blog at first, mainly because I can't see me having bundles of time, but as long as there's readers I will try my best to update reguarly.

So I am from England, a very small town in the north east of England in fact. I am originally from London and was down there for the last 8 months then decided it wasn't for me right now. I have a feeling I will be back there soon enough.

So I am probably known as a degenerate gambler. I play poker, I bet on horse racing (Sucessfully) and will quite happily bet on Football, rugby, tennis, cricket, anything really.

I currently co run a rakeback website which is www.rake4poker.com This has been a project of mine for the last year but other things got in the way.

Anyway it's now up and running so give it a click and take a look.

As of yesterday I will be working on a project which involves properties in Florida which is quite cool.

And as of...
