Poker is boring

I'm up $150 from live poker this week. I'm kinda not all that interested in poker anymore. Any time I look at a good poker player, I just see a pathetic degenerate. Thinking about the lives that are wasted by being a break-even/losing player just makes me sick. And the minuscule number of players that are able to make 10%+ ROI or +5ptbb/100 are basically idiot-savants, people who can't function properly in the real world, so they sit back and wait for idiots to throw away pay-checks, and for the elusive time when they "run good" and make enough money to continue the cycle of gambling. The whole poker industry is pretty depressing and retarded.

haha j/k obviously, I don't have anywhere close to 80K, even if you add up my car, magic cards, guitars and other assets. I haven't even really been playing any poker lately.

Past couple weeks I've been playing some games with Josh (leafsfan) and Gid (ninetensuited) online and they lure me into games I shouldn't play... I've lost like $100 playing random limit poker, or full-ring cash games, or higher buy-in MTTs. I don't regret any of the games I've played except for the 3-handed 1/2 limit I played with josh.

It's gonna be hard to play much poker this summer because I'll be working a lot at my Golf course. I dunno if anyone else plays golf here, but it's soooo much fun. Although fun comes from a couple factors.... you can't care about your score. You can't practice whatsoever unless you have the time/resources to play every day, and you have to play with awesome people. It was a terrible night for poker. I played a tournament well above my bankroll and cash well above my br... I played 1/2 6-max limit with leafsfan, we both got pwned pretty hard, I played pretty bad and ran into lots of coolers and no big pots.

I played the $33 MTT on stars today, I love the tournament structure, I'll definitely be looking for this tournament again once my bankroll can sustain a $33 buyin (not after tonight). I busted with top pair and a flush draw, I guess I played the hand badly, whatever.
