Ok, I love the upswings!! and a few hands I picked out

Permanent Linkby crack on Sat Jul 29, 2006 9:23 pm GMT

So, I am going to do considerably less rambling from my last post.

Points to note:

I am loving Crypto. I have played 2.6k hands over there in the two days I have been there. I am playing NL$50 and NL£25 but will be moving up to NL$100 and NL£50 after a great two days. The bonus seems a bit difficult to clear, but it doesn't really matter.

Not sure how much rakeback I have made, but overall I like this site a lot, it seems a lot less resource intensive than it used to be and rakeback is g00t.

I played a few tournaments today, so here's the results.

First tournament: $5 thingy on crypto and I bubbled with AK v some random hand.

Second Tournament: Platinum freeroll $7,500 on Pokerstars. This was going ok till someone raised, I pushed with AK and was insta called by T8s. He flopped an 8 and I am out.

Third Tournament: £10k GTD on crypto. I was crippled when my AA was beat by AK (Trip kings) and I ended up going out with a race. (I satted into this)

Fourth Tourn...

POKER POKER POKER

Permanent Linkby crack on Thu Jul 27, 2006 10:21 pm GMT

Right ok, so we have some updatge to go through then.

I will start with how I am feeling right now.

I think my love for the game and willingess to improve has nevr been stronger. I have been really happy with the way my game has been progressing after a good 8 months out of poker, I think I have settled back in very nicely.

I had a really good break from the game during the time I spent in London. It wasn't as though I felt I needed a break, it just sort of happened.

Anyway, I have been back and playing for a nearly 3 months again now and made a nice amount.

I have been able to pay for my websites to be finished/created and I am investing in them on the marketing side now.

It's kind of cool to see them finally progessing. I started to look at the stats today and see that my hard work, along with the people involved with them is starting to pay off.

I am in the process now of getting a few poker tools created for the sites. They are standard, but a hand converter...

Time for some updatage

Right ok, where to start.

I have been playing a lot more tournaments recently. I dunno why. I think it's to do with seeking out the big win that I crave. I have had a few cashes but I am throwing a bit of money away when I am not really bankrolled for these tournaments.

For example, tonight with basic knowledge of Stud I just played a $22 mtt. $22 isn't too much, that's not the problem, but the fact I would quite happily play 5 or 6 of these in a day making up a decent amount. I will just enter a $50 or a $100 if they are starting and I am in the mood.

I am not really bankrolled for the long term tourney thing, and I usually played them once very so often. My problem also with this is it is eating up my time on the cash game tables where I make my money. I am going to try and cut down on these small tournies for now.

I played in the WSOP Sat on stars for $350 which had 7300 regietered. 250 paid and I ended up getting down to 468th before I was busted with KJs v T6s.

Party Bonus, WSOP, Rake4poker and Dr Who!

Well I finished the Omaha book within two days and it was a fantastic read. Probably the best part of the book is towards the end after reading most of the material and you think

"Well, I want to know how to play...."

Then he has a chapter dedicated to common questions, and there were most of my answers.

So I have been playing various Omaha games. I am trying to stick to PL$50 and L 1/2 for variance reasons and bankroll requirements but it is difficult and I will usually play $100 and $200.

It is going well, and it's cool that my PT rates me as a bad player because my W$D is low. I was going to showdown too much with bad hands, so sorting out that leak now.

I have recently been finding it difficult to know what to play recently. I want to play poker, but choosing a game now is hard for me because I like every single one, so I decided to make a little generator to help me.

I would post it up, but it only really applies to the games I know, so won't bother.

I got...

Four Card Holdem

Permanent Linkby crack on Mon Jul 03, 2006 6:02 am GMT

Ok, so this is what they used to call Omaha. I have just bought a book on Omaha Poker by Bob Ciaffone. I am really commited to step up my Omaha game, bet it Limit, PL, Omaha or Omaha8.

I just really want to get to grips with this game.

I was playing it all day yesterday pretty much. I got stacked when I played bad after losing a big pot.

I got stacked with top set and his rivered flush all in on the turn.

So next hand I can play I am dealt AAxxss I try and pretend I am tilty McTilt and pot it, buddy re-pops, and I make a fast reraise, he goes all in and I call.

now my xx was crappy, and one ace wasnt even suited. he held AAJJds and rivered a flush.

I pretty much knew I wa splaying it horribly, but bah I made it all back and then some.

I also played a few tournies too. I tried qualifiying for the sunday million 4 times and failed when I didn't win a few races.

I played the PLO $33 on stars and the PLO8 $22 on party.

The PLO didn't live up to much, which was...
