Check Raising

Permanent Linkby crack on Wed Jun 28, 2006 7:35 am GMT

This is the first time I have been able to do this. This is like a secret club, the check raise on every street club. I know Jake is in it.

Still in the "tank"

Permanent Linkby crack on Tue Jun 27, 2006 9:00 am GMT

So I have still not decided where I want to focus myself.

I decided to withdraw from Prima and concentrate at party. I am giving up my juicy rakeback percentage, but I think the games on party are so juicy themselves that I will make more without the rakeback, especially now I have decided against the HU NL games.

For some reason I am a good player HU NL cash and not so great when it comes to SNG format. I think my problem is I try to make too many plays early and over complicate things.

So my basis on no rakeback at party....

I have been accustomed to rakeback whenever I have played for real money. I am a cash game player and it is going to be a bit weird not getting that cash at the end of the month, but I have really fallen for party poker in a big way. I love the tournament structure there and the cash games are really nice.

I raked in over $400 in a month at prima, but it pretty much just made me break even over there after those HU games. The rake is incredible and...

Right, so basically this is/was my stand point on tournament poker.

The variance is too shitty and they were not as +ev for me as the cash games. I could put in more hours on those tables and see better results.

Tourney poker is a donk fest anyway, players donking themselves into the right move like donks.

All this is true however I have found something. This something is very special, very special indeed.

Pot Limit Omaha8 tourny styleeee!!

Yeah, that's right, perhaps one of the best games and formats I have ever played. If you have read my previous posts you will see I have been casually getting more and more into these.

Today I bubbled in one MTT and finished 18th in another. I have had a lot of money place finishes so far including 2 final tables.

I hit up the PLO8 SNG's and have cashed/won the majority of those. Have I finally found my niche in poker? For so long now I have been following different avenues in poker. I think I have tried just about everything for...
