GRGRGRGRGRG!!!!!

That's how I have to sum up tonight.

Again so close, but yet so far when the big mtt cash eluded me.

Yesterday I had back to back cashes in a PLO8 (23rd) and NLHE (18th) MTT's. Buyins were both $33.

In both tournies there was nothing I could do with the hands I went out on, so there you go.

So tonight I decide to give it a go on the PLO8 again. with 15 left I was cruising with the chiplead at 150k compared to 2nd, 100k on the other table.

Then what do you think happened? The final table happened.

I would say I played faultless or very near faultless in the whole tourney. I am thinking that 1.7k is coming home to craigy, well IRCPARTY (Party handle)

Alas it didn't, my flopped straight went down to a flush, Another straight split on the river to quarter me, KK** to quad Queens him holding one along with a couple more I think.

In the end I stuck my chips in with AKJ6 and got called flopped a 6, went all in he called and knocked me out in 5th.

As you can tell with...

Baileys and HU NL, FTW!!

Permanent Linkby crack on Fri Jun 16, 2006 10:48 pm GMT

So, yesterday I had a real shitty day. I decided to move up to NL100 full handed completly. It didn't go down to well.

I couldn't hit a decent hand, variance wasn't on my side blah blah blah and I find myself in the hole for quite a lot.

Tried a mtt, got rivered early on.

Even tried playing some SHL to lag it up a bit and let off steam. I lost a bit at that (Wasn't playing well anyway)

HU SNG with the luckbox Zin. I decided to gamb00l it up a bit and raced, he won, apparantly.

Time to hit the drink. The drink will help me, and it did. It made me decide to relax and try a game that my friend kills, HU NL.

I have never been a great shorthanded player, so decided to take this chance to better myself. Well I enjoyed it.

It is one of the first times ina while I have really enhanced my reading skills and not relied heavily on PT. I have been on a big rush at it, for now.

I realise the swings in this game can be sick, so I am just seeing how I go for now at NL50.

What's new Mr Magoo?

Permanent Linkby crack on Tue Jun 13, 2006 10:08 pm GMT

Well I didnt really want to post again till I knew this thing was for public use.

So what's new? Well I have stagnated a bit when it comes to playing poker. I am not really playing bad, although at least 2 moves that were bad would have turned break even days into winning days.

It's good that I can actually identify mistakes. I usually identify them just milli seconds after doing them, then they call or reraise me and it is 100% confirmed my Ace High is not that good.

Anyway, made some good progress the other day. SB v BB blind war

I have 66 folded round, i raise, he reraises I call. Flop 6** Rainbow. ZING

I lead with a pot sized bet. He Calls. I make a 3/4 pot bet on the turn, he calls. River is a King, I make about another 3/4 pot size bet, he raises me all in.

No surely not a two outer on the river?

I Call, Oh yeah you better believe it.

It's not a bad beat, I'd probably put me on an overpair to the 6 high and call down (Well probably have him all in on the...

So the first of many, I hope!

Surely the most eagerly awaited poker blog this year? Nah probably not. I was quite against a blog at first, mainly because I can't see me having bundles of time, but as long as there's readers I will try my best to update reguarly.

So I am from England, a very small town in the north east of England in fact. I am originally from London and was down there for the last 8 months then decided it wasn't for me right now. I have a feeling I will be back there soon enough.

So I am probably known as a degenerate gambler. I play poker, I bet on horse racing (Sucessfully) and will quite happily bet on Football, rugby, tennis, cricket, anything really.

I currently co run a rakeback website which is www.rake4poker.com This has been a project of mine for the last year but other things got in the way.

Anyway it's now up and running so give it a click and take a look.

As of yesterday I will be working on a project which involves properties in Florida which is quite cool.

And as of...
