Went to Commerce with a buddy yesterday. First 3 hours I played about 6 hands outside of the blinds. Table was really really aggro crazy call-down with any pair any draw. Average pot was probably around $120 with no less than 5 players at every flop, yikes.

1. AKo in MP, I raise, it gets 3-bet and then capped by an UTG limper (no AA here, trust me). 5 of us go to a raggedy rainbow flop. I call a bet. Turn A. I bet, 3 callers. River 10. I know this card might have just beat me I check, another check, button bets. I call and another call. I show AK, other KK, button AT. Eesh.

2. 45 of clubs on the button. 6 limpers I call. Flop is TJQ with two clubs, SB bets out, all call, I raise. Turn is blank and I take my free card. River is a blank and all check, SB wins with Q8.

3. AK of hearts I raise and get 4 callers. Flop: 8h 9h 3c, I bet and get 2 callers. Turn: 10s, now this guy in EP slams his hand down like he missed, so I bet, 1 fold...he check-raises, crap he definately...

Just playing a bunch of 2/4 FL 6-max hands at party. I checked out a bunch of other sites, but no one is even close to the tables and fish party has. Maybe with all those strong 2+2ers leaving, the weakness of the tables might compensate for the extra rake.

I raise UTG+1 with 88. BB calls.

Flop: 7 7 2 rainbow.
BB bets, I raise, he 3-bets...I decide to call down here.

Turn: 9
BB bets I call.

River 9

BB checks....I decided to check behind here, does anyone think I missed a bet?

I don't know if I can overcome the extra rake...it comes out to a pretty substantial amount. Might look elsewhere, but nowhere else even comes close to the same amount of tables and fish as Party.

In other news all the money I've lost in Vegas, to the tune of about $500, I've made up in my last 2k hands online, no luck live, but I've been throwing some sick beats around online. For instance:

I have AA on the button (2/4 FL 6-max). I've been playing my usual lagtastic self so I've been getting no respect. UTG+1 raises, UTG+2 calls, I 3-bet, UTG+1 and UTG+2 call.

Flop: K 6 7 rainbow.

UTG+1 leads, UTG+2 calls, I raise, both call.

Turn: 7 UTG+1 checks, UTG+2 checks, I bet. UTG+1 now check raises, UTG+2 cold-calls two! I think I still have the best hand here and I put in three bets, UTG+1 caps and UTG+2 calls (oops, no best hand anymore).

River: 7 very interesting, only losing to KK. UTG+1 checks, UTG+2 checks, I bet, both call. Ship it.

Day 3:

The girl and I wake up, go to the pool, its like 115 degrees and we only stay for about 45 minutes before we can’t take it anymore. Girlfriend headed straight to the “European” style bathing pool, and I wasn’t about to complain. Saw exactly three nice pairs of breasts, no old hags or anything, but it wasn’t exactly a Victoria’s Secret runway either.
Wynn pool A+ if you are older and want a quiter, relaxed topless view. B if you were looking for a really cool assortment of pools.

We shower, dress and head over to Treasure Island, go to the buffet.
Cost: $24 I think Grade: B+ Solid selection, good food, best desserts of all the buffets.

We check out the tiny little TI poker room, its got like 10 tables max. We put our names on the list for 2/4 (I’m gonna take a break tonight and donk it up a little at 2/4). Day 1:

My girlfriend Celeste and I were schedule to leave on Sunday, July 9, one day after my 21st, to drive to Las Vegas. The plan was to get to Vegas before the start of the World Cup game, so I could sit and watch it. Well, 4 days before we left, Celeste’s mom says she can’t get the 3 nights comped room for us unless she is physically present to check us in. Sigh. She only stayed one night, but, it was a little inconvenient. No worries, we get to Vegas in 4.5 hours, with me driving 85 the whole way. Check-in and grab a bite to eat at a little sandwich place in the Wynn, total cost about $25. Grade: B+.

Wynn rooms: A+, beds were ohhhh so comfortable, pillows fluffy, Egyptian-sheets cradled like a glove, huge tub, huge bathroom, yadda yadda yadda. Cost: Free Grade A+

No poker, we plays some slots (-EV) and get some free drinks (+EV) and go to sleep relatively early.
