Just finished a good cash game session, made about $250 playing PLO $.5/$1 then $450 up from PLO $1/$2. There's alot of weak player's online playing omaha, I've found the europeans to be better , the americans weaker. People don't put down hands they should. I basically fold post flop unless I hit a great hand or am against a loony.

It's good I won this session cos I went casino last night to do a satelite for a £1,000 freezeout 2 day event. 4 get the seat, 5th £360 , I finished 6th.... I walked into Aces. I am not annoyed with myself, I'm playing well , just had bad luck in tournaments lately. So I am no longer solely a tournament player, I'm both cash game player and tournament player.

I'll be playing on Betfair for cash games lately, under the alias Il Padrino. Not loads of traffic but relatively weak players, so I gotta be smart now I am pro. Anyone got reccomendations for other sites with weak players, let me know.

I woke up today and was planning on playin just a few tourneys, Aelred said it was the super tuesday and was encouraging me to play a satelite for it, I didnt like the idea and he replied with "I ll make you laugh, if oyu give me 5% if u you get in" ....I agreed and we were on. I entered the satelite, busted out in 7th, (top 2 get seat) my 9-9 no good vs AQ. I then decided to play some cash games along side the mtt i was in ($50 f/o ) , I made about $150 but couldnt be bothered since i knew the super tuesday $1k buyin was on in an hour. So I quit the cash game and focused on my mtt which I was looking like going deep in.

I did indeed go deep, and I decided I would take a big shot and enter the super Tuesday mtt. I read that it makes over $300k each week and I just loved the fact that it was not a big field, since it meant I would need less all ins etc in order to final table or have a shot at winning. Today, I pre planned to play the Sunday Warm Up ,the Sunday Million and The FTOP Main Event.


The warm up, I entered and was feeling a little tired, I hadnt had much sleep, gid was playin it too which motivated me to stay in so long as he was. I played poorly to begin with, not taking any initiative but 30/40mins I began to get adjusted to the table, I already know on stars my game is very selective , rockish almost, so I stuck with that game for the following few hours, never really get any hands but tryin to take the odd one to keep me alive. Now, thats not to say I wouldn't like a big stack, but I am not gonna go playing crappy hands, and overestimate my post flop playing ability against players who wont put down a pair. I think this is smart to be honest,even if its not the most fun way to play. Anyway, with 270 paying I made the cash with a very short stack, shortly afterwards my 10-10 beat 7-7 and AK.Wowee. After a bad run online, things have been turning around this week, I came 6th for $2,200 earlier in the week on Full tilt then finalled 2 mtts last night totalling $5,200 so maybe I can get back to winning ways.

I've been playing alot at casino lately but just not materialised, I been losing races and 60/40s and just not getting the breaks. I dont mind though, its the nature of tourneys ya know.

Dont know if any of you readers knew, but I am no longer a student, me and aelred been living in our new flat for past few weeks. We been playing alot of poker and things not going well for Aelred. Me too prior to this week. I have faith in my ability though and think I will make good.

I haven't played any ftop's lately cos the mtts arent suitable for me, often a weird event for me like omaha hi lo, and high buy in (over $300 or more) means I cant play. If there is any hold em events with $200 or so buy in I ll play for sure , but I aint checked yet which events are left.

Kinda glad this week's been over tbh, defo in loss for week, 16th adn 18th in Full tilt mtts where 1st is nice enough ($8k and $6k respectively), 4 cashes in the 55k but no FT and a bubble in the Nightly once (only time i palyed this week) when my KK ran into AA.

Clearly a bad week, 1000th tonight in the million when my QQ was against 8-9 flop 5-6-7-. bah.

55k, I had AA vs AK suited all pre flop $58,000 chuips which gurantee another cash but no, K on flop and turn. Still, I am lookin forward to playing somve live this week, I came 8th on wednesday and think I am playing well, my reads are on and I am getting better just a bit rusty in live.
