For the first time since middle school, I had a snow day today ... and one tomorrow which means drinking later tonight.

Anyway I lost ~$600 playing 100NL combination bad play/tilt/beats (AA loses to KK and two KK vs. AA).

However, I took 1st in a $11/180 stars tournament for a cool $540, which I believe is my first MTT win, had a 2nd on FT a while back, but I can't remember how much I won then.

I'm sticking to 50NL especially with my move to FTP coming up ... stupid epassporte says my money will be ready today at 12:30 PM PST ... which was like 4 hours ago, oh well. Chances are I'll put $600 on stars and FTP, feel out FTP and see if the RB is worth it, etc.

If I hadn't of donked up a few JJ/QQ hands it'd be even better looking. I've certainly covered the buy-ins I lost at 100NL earlier, and loving 50NL right now. Part of my success right now is due to the fact that I stopped 6 tabling and went back to 4 tables. I dunno if it was the psychological toll and mental readiness needed for 6 tables, but I can handle 4 much better, especially considering how small my monitor is. Maybe I'll get a new one soon ...

My deposit in epassporte showed up in my bank statement but hasn't reach the site yet, which worries me a bit ... Once it does though I'll move from Stars to FTP.

Oh, did I mention I finally got the iPod on Sunday? Yeah ... 4 - 6 weeks and I'll be a happy...

Going on a nice little downswing right now, I haven't been winning in the big pots, been getting stacked off with big pairs or not getting much action. Out of my last 11 pairs of queens, 5 took the blinds, 1 was a 3bet taken down preflop, and three flopped sets, out of which only one got action on a QJA board, another got no action on AQ6 board.

The last one was kind of funny, I bump it to 5xBB after a UTG limped, flop is 7 K 5 w/ two hearts, UTG min bets, I raise to 2/3 pot, he calls, then leads the turn for about 1/4 of the pot and I folded and laughed at how horrible he was.

Less than two thousand FPPs till the iPod then I'm out of Stars.

This is the 8th business day since I signed up for ePassporte and I still haven't gotten my test bank deposits. Neteller cashout pending since the 17th, but thats to be expected right now ... f*cking gov't.

So I played about 1400 hands today, which is a ton for me, must've played 3 - 4 hours at least, with a one hour 6 table 50NL session.

Basically I had some bad overpair hands, misplayed, bad beat, whatever you want to call it. However I managed to recover from it majorly when I switched away from 100NL to 50NL.

I still believe I am capable of beating 100NL, even though I'm slightly negative for ~ 3K hands right now. Obviously the bankroll "restriction" is really what's keeping me from playing it. During the week I'm gonna stick to 50NL and only take shots at 100NL during the weekends or primetime nights.

School should be hitting me hard this week, and I'll be spending a lot of time on homework and crap, less time with poker.

Only 2800 FPPs to go and then I'm probably switching to FTP for the rakeback.

I've been running pretty weird lately. I had my BR up to about 1.3K and its gone down to 950 and now back up to 1.1K. I gave 6-tabling a shot on my 1280 x 1020 (whatever that res is) monitor. I was definitely able to handle it at 50NL, but I do tighten my game up a bit, which is probably a good thing.

Overpairs have been running bad lately, I've been stacked off probably 4 - 5 times by sets, and then I had one, maybe two KK vs AA situations. I also had a KK vs. AA where I flopped a set, KK vs. JJ AI pre with board of KQJxx.

One of the KK vs. AA hands sucked, there was a MP raiser, then a shorty called in CO, I 3bet it, MP cold calls, and shorty pushes for maybe 15 - 20BB more, so I push trying to get MP out, but he calls with AA and takes down both of us. Shorty had 99.

Got back a lot of that money with an AK hand. I 3bet a UTG raiser and MP caller from the button, both called. Flop was 3A5, I bet 2/3 pot, MP calls, turn another 5 and I shove it and MP calls with A2 and...
