A small step for me, a giant step for my bankroll

Permanent Linkby jimmer on Thu Nov 02, 2006 5:09 am GMT

Managed to squeeze in half an hour of poker last night. I played one hand only and it was the first one of the night.

I was the BB with 53 offsuit. i got about 4 callers including the SB. The flop is 467 with two hearts. The SB checks, i bet the pot, an early player goes all in (with not much more), theres a few folders and the SB re-raises. I re-raise him all-in and he thinks for a while and writes "I have trip 6's". He then calls my all-in.

The next two cards are both hearts and the small stack wins with a flush. (he had 4hearts 6spades). However i won the sidepot and on the very first hand of the night i increase my stack from $20 to $26.20.

As i suggested in the title, it's not really enough to retire with, but it is a step in the right direction and considering my goal yesterday was; "to make a profit", then i've succeeded.

Bankroll is now $481.

(and i'm still looking for a lamp)

Good things come to those who wait!
