The grand old duke of York

Wow, two blogs in one day and they couldn't contrast any more if i tried! However this time I'm smilling! (See last blog to understand why!)

I lost $25 tonight though nothing in particular. Had one reasonably big decision where some guy pushed all-in (with a bigger stack then me) on the river after I had bet the 2/3rd's of the pot on the flop and turn. I had AQ raised preflop, the flop was Q74 rainbow and the river and turn cards were 3 and 9. If he bet slightly smaller I would of probably called.

Apart from that I was just sensible poker from my point of view. I had pocket Aces and Kings a few times, but never got any real action and won some small pots. I also hit a full house on the flop, everyone checked to me, I bet small and they all folded. I could of let them attempt to catch a free card to improve their hand, and if I was up against one or two others i probably would of. However I thought there was enough players in the pot to at least get a call.

Oh well. What goes around comes around.

16 hours play. 180 seater sng’s = -$26.40, 9,18 & 45 seater sng’s = $0, cash tables = +$52.60

Good things come to those who wait!
