Ok while its still fresh....

just played 40k gtd on crypto, its their biggest mtt of the week with £120 buy in. I busted out in 5th after playing a great mtt... i did some top drawer bluffs and kept my stack above average through stealing all the way till the final table, i guess i was lucky in taht i didnt get into any situations where i could lose all my chips - eg set over set... those kind of ones.

On final we got down to the last 5.. im sitting on about 150k chip leader on about 400k and the others on around 90 - 150 each. UTG raises min (he does this fairly often and folds to a rre raise on a few occasions).. he done this on my bb a few times now and i had allready decided if he did it again i would push it all in.. blinds were 6k 12k so any re raise would commit me anyway. so he raises min i find J7 off suit and go with my play and push it all in.. he folds instantly and the chip leader calls instantly ... WHAT???? chip leader???? exactly waht i thought... the chip leader h...

Got back to university on wednesday after a succesfull christmass break where i made about $10,000. Exam season here at uni, but nobody in my block seems to be revising. On wednesday night i played the £50 +£5 mtt on crypto and busted out in 17th for £120. Played well and didnt win a hand near the last 2 tables... i have come to realise that in the type of mtts i play - not deep stacked and short blind structure - making the last 2 tables regularly is a very good achievement because it enables me the opportunity to get all my money in the pot and try to have a decent stack on the final table. Nobody in the whole mtt ever really has a good stack in comparison to the blinds... so on the final two tables i went in with A8 vs K10 (he was shorter than me) he won.... then i went in with JJ vs AK and won it woohoo! then i went with A10 vs QJ and lost it, then 55 vs QK and lost that too which busted me out.... all of these hands i was in late position except for JJ and i was opening the p...

new years eve but i didnt go out partying etc, so i ended up playing the 55k gtd rebuy on stars made it deep by playing great poker. Then the luck element came into play. i hadnt risked more than 1/3 of my chips at any point up till the last 2 tables.... and then i lost every all in situation.... i lost AK to 56 (calling a ss all in) i lost 33 to AK (similiar situation) i WON KK vs AJ he flopped A but i turned and rivered quads....that put me up to a million chips.. which is enough for the final.. but general wear and tear and when we got down to 13 i had about 500k in chips,bb was 60k and this aggresive player raised it up to 180k, i had Ah8h in teh BB and i re raised all in.. he called with 77 and i flopped an 8.. but he got the 7 and i was out. wudda been nice to make a final of a big mtt 2 nights in a row.... i played my best and if i had won that hand i am confident i wudda made the top 3. But this is poker, all i can do with my skills is get to that stage of a mtt, then i have to...

Played $100 freezout tonight on stars and made the final table without ever risking all my chips in a hand preflop. This probably explaing how i made it so far as i really dont win all in preflops at the moment. On the final i was short stacked with about 30k in chips and the antes just gone up to 2k 4k, i had K7 utg and went all in. As usual the BB called with a big hand... AQ i managed to runner runner a straight and this put me up to about 80k . I felt i was in control of the table at this point and should make it heads up for sure. THen one player re raised me on 3 or 4 occasions on the flop or preflop. this shouldnt have bothered me as she had been folding contentdly most of the night but it riled me. alrite folks,

i just won the 35k gtd on stars after we did a deal 6 way. We were all pretty even in chips and the blinds were huge, so we decided to go for 4.3k each and to play for the remaining 1200. In principle i am against doing deals in mtts but i am a practical man, not an idealist. i need the money, and the only other way i would get 4k or more would be to come 1st or 2nd, and there was a good chance i wouldnt, so i took the deal and then went on to win the extra 1200. Played my best ive played online in a long time, i usually play alot better in the casino and make elementary errors online, which i have been trying to iron out of late. I did less fancy moves than usual and this always seems to help, i also managed to win a race on the final table too. ah mman i so tired wish i didnt start writing this now. Basically poker likes me again, and i didnt get raped all the day, also yesterday i finished 4th in a large mtt for 1200 which enabled me to enter todays mtts and now i can...
