Yeah thought i'd do a wee update of my last couple of weeks in poker. Did A £10 rebuy at the casino last tuesday and came 2nd for £720, which was nice. I made some really good calls and even better laydowns playing my best and won a race or 2.
Played £20 rebuy on friday of last and busted out about 40th out of 80, didnt manage to get many chips together and re raised all in SB to BB when the SB raised me with A8, i had 77 and he called my all in - we were both fairly short with around 5 X the BB each.

Tonight i played $20 freezout on stars on my freind ciso's account and i managed to come 2nd for $2117. I was pretty pissed off earlier as i really feel the guy i was playing against heads up was not very good and that i should have defeated him. He kept catching miracle cards to split the pot, or hitting a pair on the river when im calling him down with K high. Then he made a freak call against me, i had 8s9s he raised 3X with position and i called. flop came 7s 10s 7d, i checked .. he continuated and i opted to move all in. BLinds were 1k 2k and i had about 400k in chips he had about 700k in chips. he called instantly beating me into the pot almost and he flipped over AK no spades. I was shocked at the speed he would make such a critical call, i mean he gave it no thought whatsoever.... and i had not moved all in once during the 40 min heads up battle. AND i check raised all in... but still he called in less than a second. Well i didnt improve so he won with A high and the rest is history. I was uber pissed off at the time, i felt i really deserved the win. OH YEAH, ben affleck was on my table near the end too and i won a funny pot that he was involved in.
i just requested the hand history for the mtt but i really cannot be bothered to find the intresting hands. But i made a cracking call with 55 on the final table when the board was 10 8 7 10 A, he bet all in and i called - i had him on busted straight draw and he had exactly that, i check called him on every street.
ive made about £1800 in the last week so i cannot complain.... wudda been nice to have got a 1st place though, 2 2nds dont really float my boat, especially since i really think im good at heads up.

Congrats on the finish, just got back and found out. Well done. Don't be so stupid though mate, you cant win every damn mtt, you should be glad to make it to heads up twice regardless of coming 2nd...and you won $2,000 so be more :). Keep it up mate!
