prangin' out by exit music on Mon Mar 26, 2007 6:43 pm GMT
I feel so poker-deprived...
I haven't played any poker since last wednesday other than the weekend's HU games
I haven't played online in almost 2 weeks

I'm prangin' outttttttt
(anyone else like the new Streets' album?? It's not as good as the other two, but it's not terrible - and by new I mean a year old or whatever)

I also can't post a trip report b/c I'm scared of my life getting trainwrecked and I got respect for the pple involved.

It was a g00d weekend though :D
brag: cool chicks who like poker

ITM Again by mooseontheloose on Wed Aug 16, 2006 6:58 pm GMT
Well it's only midway through the evening, but I'll still post and either edit later and make another post if anything big happens.

I'm 2/2 ITM since I sat down and looked at what was wrong with my game. Today I played another 45 person $1+0.20 SnG on Stars and finished in 4th, something I'm quite proud of and I'll explain below. Anyway, I plan to play in a $1 MTT later tonight, hopefully I can bring my success to that, or I may decide to stick with what works and do another SnG or two.

The SnG today was brutal and I mean brutal for cards. Early on I got KK and a short-stack pushed and I took the pot but I only took about 500, moving me to 2000, while the average was already at 2200. Few hands later I dropped a few chips and sat pretty low for a long time. Around level 4 or 5 I got AKo in UTG, raised 3xBB and SB goes All-in. I have to make that call and do, happily watching his AQo lose.

From there, at about 3200 chips, I didn't win a single hand after the flop until the final...

Party reload, woohoo by tame_deuces on Wed Sep 27, 2006 10:52 pm GMT

Yay, I withdrew from Trident cause frankly the software sucks and clearing half the bonus was enough. Ran good at 0.5/1 6-max and broke even 1/2 full ring, earned good on NL20 6-max but didn't play it much. Played a little NL50 and sat down in a 3/6NL game just for kicks, mostly boring stuff.

So now I redeposit to clear the party reload and will be playing strictly FL 1/2. Haven't played much, but it is looking good and running at 5BBs/100 so far, no real interesting hands actually.

I guess I'll clear this thing soonish and then take a little break from poker.

Yes, I AM an addict. Sue me. But my debit card still works and I can withdraw by check, so I figure I should be ok, at least for a little while. I deposited a VERY small amount ($110), and started grinding it out in the $11 SnG's. I think I played 6 or 7 (I'll check the total later), and cashed in 3 of them: a 3rd, a 2nd, and a 1st. I got a 4th place finish when m Aces up got all in vs a flush draw and got cracked, and I was all in for a massive chip lead when I got the third... I limped on the button with AA, the chip leader pushed in the SB, and I insta-called. His 33 hit a set on the river. C'est la vie. I handled myself pretty well, and I know that the $11 SnG's are easy money. I'll be sticking to those, occasional low-stakes MTT's, and maybe small jaunts at $2/$4 Stud-8 (easy money in that game). I'll move up gradually.

Somewhere over the rainbow by jimmer on Tue Sep 09, 2008 5:46 pm GMT
Last night I lost my complete stack. Tonight I dropped down to the small stakes and still lost my complete stack. The difference was tonight, I had to laugh!

After my big loss last night, I wanted to make sure I wasn’t on tilt. Therefore my game plan tonight was to simply sit back a bit more and play a tighter game. I just wanted to stay out of trouble and come away around evens. It started off laughable and continued that way.

It was early on in the game. I didn’t have any real reads. I’m in the BB with 57 off-suit and hit a straight on the flop (468). I bet, the other guy raises, I re-raise and we both get all our chips in the middle. He was holding 84 off-suit, an 8 arrives on the turn and I need to re-load.

The same guy 20 minutes later and I raise pre-flop with 88, he calls. I hit trips and bet small, he folds.

Another 20 minutes pass, I’m in the BB with 83 off-suit and hit a full house on the flop with 4 limpers. Do I get any action? Of course not. I win a very s...
