Deepstack Disappointment and No-Fold'em Hold'em by xDiamond_CutteRx on Wed Sep 13, 2006 10:30 pm GMT
Played in the $22 Deepstack event today, and it didn't go especially well on several fronts.

1. I really didn't get very many hands. And I like to play hands. When I say I was card dead this doesn't mean I never got JJ, QQ, KK, AK, or AA... those hands play themselves. But I almost never got the hands I like: T8s, J9s, 76s, even offsuit connectors from late position. Bleh.
2. Bluffing was useless, because no one knew how to lay down a hand. It took me a few lessons to figure this out, and I was not happy when it looked like I was going to have to sit back and wait for hands. That's not how I like to play No Limit, dammit!
3. Monkey luckbox won every race against me and was lucky enough to wake up with Aces (which he played horribly and still beat me with) on my final hand.

I was up and down only a little for the first part of the tournament. I bluffed off about 15% of my chips one hand against a guy who was stubborn enough to call down with top pair, lousy kicker the whole...

Reverse Cashout Trick by Jernej Zorec on Fri Aug 03, 2007 5:49 am GMT
So, we all know about the cashout trick all the sites play on us, well who am i kidding only only cashed out twice and the first one i didnt even play afterwards so i suppose i only heard about it.

Anyway back to the trick,
like a week or so ago, i played in a 4.40$ on stars with my last money, i pleayed great came to final table, was doing just fine until i got bad beat
and finished 5th.

So what do i do, i pull a reverse cashout trick on PS and immediately withdraw all my money from it to my moneybookers account, that should teach them to give me bad beats when i play great.
I make enough mistakes myself i dont need Stars to rig it for me even further.

So Whats the trick u must be wondering
well a week has gone by and since i doubled that money on Party, i decide to put 60$ back to PS today
i wont bother u with why i did that.

So if anyone is still actually reading this
the first thing i did when my money got on Stars
i joined a 4.40$ and as i write this i'm on Final...

Love that dirty water by Hurricane Ham on Thu Aug 24, 2006 10:04 am GMT
Back in Beantown finally. Awesome trip. Drove from Massachusetts to Durham, NC on Sunday, NC to Orlando Monday, park Tuesday, moving girlfriend in/travelling Wednesday. Landed about 8:45 last night, went home, and pretty much crashed.

Putting money into Stars as we speak, and I'm quite excited to get back into poker. Surprisingly, I didn't think of it at all when I was gone. Maybe the grip this game has on me isn't as strong as I thought...probably a good thing. Ready to roll with 1000 on stars, and a few hundred to me as a reward for being so sexy. 1/2 for a wee bit to get the feel of it, then moving to 2/4 as soon as I settle in and win a few bucks. I'll probably try to qualify for a bunch of WCOOP events, but that will most likely fail. Worth a shot though. I'll also work in a few regular tournaments now and again.

Bleh, Stars has a max deposit per day of $600. Lame. Ok, so 600 today, 400 tomorrow then. Let's get after it.

A Really Good Live NL Session by xDiamond_CutteRx on Sat Oct 18, 2008 3:41 pm GMT
Played yesterday at the local cardroom, intending to go for some 3/6 No-foldem, but there was a really good 1/3 NL going, so I sat down. Bought in for $150, cashed out for about $530.

Early on, I built up from a few good pots raising preflop and taking it down on the flop, and one rivered flush where I had a 15-outter on the flop.

One guy was crazy--going all-in preflop time after time after time. I got him good. We both had about $250 going into the hand. I was in the BB with [Ah Ad]. He limped from EP, one guy raised to $11, one caller, I bump it up to $45. Villain says, "you're going to hate me," and shoves it all in. The guy who raised to $11 is now agonizing over a call and I'm just praying for him to dump in his $150 or so. Eventually he folds, the other guy folds, and I snap call and turn over my Aces. "Unless you have that," the guy says, and turns over his AK. I hold up, drag $500 pot.

Biggest loss of the night, I am in the BB with [5c 5s]. One or two limps,...
