No Poker to Report

Permanent Linkby xDiamond_CutteRx on Sat Sep 06, 2008 3:34 pm GMT

I have not played any Poker since September 1, mostly because of school. I have had a ton of reading to do, and I'm still getting readjusted to the process of going to class, doing presentations, actually taking the time to read outside of class, etc.

I am enjoying being back so far, but it is a little overwhelming, and most of the other students I've met already have a good idea of what they want to study/specialize in; I do not. Guess I just have to give it time.

I do not know how much Poker I'll have time to play. Without playing every day, I'm worried I could slip from my A-game. If I only log on occasionally, I may have to settle for lower stakes or playing tournies/SnG's instead. I want to start playing live again too when I get the chance, but again, grad school will probably demand a lot more of my time than undergrad did, especially if I want to do it right and set myself up for a decent job when I get out.

I should probably withdraw a good chunk of my online roll if I'm not going to be grinding day after day. Wish I had more to update people with, but most of the writing I'll probably be doing for the next couple months will be academic.

Suit Up!

So, you say you don't know what you want to study? What are your options, pro's and cons?

I never had much of an education and left school at 16. I'm now 32 and am non-the-wiser with what i want to do with my life.

From the discusions on this forum you come across as an intellegent person, so I don't doubt your ability. I would just be interested to hear your thought process.

Good things come to those who wait!
