Pot-Limit Obama, er, Omaha

Sorry, can't escape the convention continually on the TV.

Sessions have generally gone better, play-wise if not results-wise. Yesterday, I ended up losing two huge pots. In the first one, I got all my money in on the turn with a set 3-ways against one guy with two pair, and one guy with a flush draw, who hit his spade for $180 on the river. The really crappy part about that is if the first guy hadn't made a HORRIBLE call with top and bottom pair, the flush draw could never have made the overcall, and I would have taken it down on the turn. Gross. The second was more standard, as I got all-in with a wrap and flush draw against a set, but ended up drawing to one out (gutshot straight flush) when he filled on the turn. It was really gross, because the flop was J-5-3, and he had 3-bet from the big blind, so when he bet pot on the flop, I naturally assumed he was overplaying Aces and that my equity was a lot better than it was. So when the 3 came on the turn but I hit my flush on the river, I was extra disappointed to see his JJxx (the xx was really bad too, like 8-2, even though he was double suited).

Today I had a decent session, making about $88. Been running pretty close to even over my last 10 or so PLO sessions, but I am still winning, and still improving. I don't have PT, but my hourly rate is $8.75/hour, which while I'm multitabling probably translates to about 2.7 PTBB/100 or thereabouts. Not the greatest winrate, but the sample really isn't that big, and I still do consider myself a relative novice to the game.

This weekend I'm probably going to play the Turbo Takedown, probably the $200K as well, and maybe try and satellite into the Million as well. Saturday, I might go play live, but I haven't made up my mind yet.

And just to get back to the title, I don't usually get into politics on THP, but I am really excited about Obama's candidacy and I really think he can wipe the floor with McCain in the general. After 8 years of living with an idiot a President, I'm ready for a change.

Suit Up!
