Oh my,
Look at what has transpired here.
Listen,
I've handled both Chipco, and NJ's.
I've played with the NJ's and really like them.
I'm sure the Chipco's aren't bad either (I do hate the "pimple" though)
However, I agree with Yeltzen, maybe NJ doesn't want to deal with the Casino's. Maybe this puts them into a world that they don't want to be in. A world of gaming officials, gaming boards, gaming specs, security, scrutiny, inspections, liscenses, permits, specs, deadlines, huge quantities @ cheap prices, etc. I would guess that if you are making Casino chips, you go through a great of red tape and bullsh*t. Maybe NJ doesn't have (or want) the facilities or resources (after all, they do outsource thier clays) to cater to the Casinos. Maybe they are doing just fine with thier product catering to people who like good home chips.
Now take this analogy for instance:
Lets say that the NFL uses Spalding footballs (Not sure if fact).
Does this automatically mean that Wilson footballs are crap because they are not used in the NFL??

To elaborate with another thought:
From what I understand, TRKing does not manufacture chips for the Nevada Casinos anymore due to some issue with the gaming commission.
So, now that TR Kings are not used in casinos for reasons beyond the scope of this forum, does this mean that they are not worthy chips?
I feel that TR Kings are some of the greatest chips in the world, and personally prefer them over Chipco's and Paulson's both.
But they must suck because they are not featured at the Luxor or Mirage???

Agreed. And they're one of the oldest (probably THE oldest clay maker).

i prefer NJ ceramics.
when i started buying samples, i went heavy on chipcos, but i was underwhelmed. overall, i prefer clay to ceramic, but i just bought the NJ desert sands composite and i'm very happy.
i know it's your opinion and everything (the silver bullet of all debate), but i have no idea what you mean when you say the NJ composites feel plasticky. far from it. they feel just like the chipcos, only with texture.
and they look great too.
