Breaking out into real money on UltimateBet.com
Well, I am going to go ahead and try my skill on the .25/.50 tables at Ultimate. Now that sounds funny I know, due to the low value, but I have to take baby steps here. Wish me luck all.

Good luck!! Use UltimateBuddy. . . .you can keep track of people that you like to play with and those you don't.
I started playing on the .25/.50 tables there also. I found it hard to win consistently because the play was so loose at those stakes. I started trying out the higher limits and eventurally moved up to $2/4. Play in the freerolls and tourneys for experience.
I came in 2nd in a freeroll tourney and parlayed my $38 into $800+. I find that I can win consistently at the $2/4 tables.
See you at UB. Look for me . . . . tonytal 8)

Hey Sorak,
After spending the last couple of years on the unemployment line, I took my first check from my new job to finance my online poker habits. Had a friend transfer 20 to my Poker Stars account and I put 25 into Ultimate Bet.
Been playing tournaments ($1-5) exclusively at Poker Stars and have had some luck. While I have not finished in the top 10, I've been able to place in the money and still have $18 after a month and a half of play.
Over at Ultimate bet I've been playing some tournaments, I've not had much luck in finishing "in the money." I have been doing OK at the .25-.50 (6 top) limit hold'em tables. Over the last 45 days I've had as much as $75 in my arsenal. Just last night I learned that I don't need to come in from bar hopping and start playing poker, my balance is down to $32 and I can't remember what happened. LOL
I figure for my $45, I've got alot of quality entertainment time. Of course it's always alot more fun when your playing smart and winning.
Gonna look up the Ultimate buddy thing, maybe we can get some games with all members of this forum going.
Good Luck
