Buy chips in a store?
Hi I'm planning on ordering some chips from 5Star, but is there any type of local store that would carry some decent chips. I just want to pick up some to play around with before I buy my set.
Thanks,

I found around here that a lot of billiards and recreational stores are starting to catch on to the new poker craze. They're starting to advertise tables and accessories. I took a look at some before I ordered online but ended up going the other route.

Thanks!
I'll buy more from 5star later. Just wanted to get my hands on 100 to play with. Picked up some nice 10.5 with Edge marks. Been practicing shuffling all night and morning, lol. Also, was suprised how easy it is to look like a doofus when you're stacking and betting.
Thanks again,

Just this past christmas my father picked up some poker chips for me from TJ Max. If you dont know what that is, it's pretty much just a discount store that can be found in most malls in my area (Ohio). They have name brand stuff (usually last year's fashons) at really cheap prices. Anyway, he picked up 3 carousels of the 9gram diamond clay composite chips at $30 bucks per carousel.
So, we got 600 chips for a/b .15 a chip, but got 3 nice wooden carousels to go along with them... quite a deal if you ask me considering the carousels go for $35+ w/o chips!
So anyway, keep an eye on the discount stores (valuecity, TJ Max, etc.).
