Call or Fold

Postby jeffonline » Tue May 17, 2011 10:00 pm GMT

Full table 9 every one had stacks of around 20,000 chips, blind were $200 $100 no anti, early in a 3 day deap stack tournament.

Late position
2 limpers
I look down AA
I raise to $450.00
sb calls as does the 2 limpers
Pot $2000
Flop T A J rag
checks around to me
I bet $1500.
sb calls others fold
Pot is now $5000
Turn is a 7
sb goes all-in
Its $15000 for me to call.

The sb had been very aggressive, had lost and just won back chips.
Do you call or fold.

Call. See KQ, board pairs, winner. I would call though given the above quote.

Not to mention that he could have AK-AT or JT. I'm just not folding here ever.

2.5bb raise with 2 limpers already in the pot. Is it me, or is this raise far too small?

Insta-call. Can't get 'em in the middle fast enough. If he has KQ, congratulations, I've got redraws.

Agree with jimmer's assessment too.

Edit: by "redraws," of course I mean I'm looking for the board to go 4-4 or something interesting like that.

Disagree on the 'far' bit. It's too small because of the limpers but not by too much. If it were an open in LP it's fine unless OP's post flop game is terrible

Thanks for the input.
Deep stack tournament, did consider all the options mentioned, chose the wrong ones apparently, but there were reasons for my choices, now trying to justify them lol. Called got shown 89o and did not improve.
