Can anyone recommend a card shuffler?
Nothing slows down our tournies more than shuffling. But all the auto shufflers I see look cheap. Anybody have a decent one they could recommend?

Most of them aren't worth the hassle.
Play with two decks. The dealer from the previous hand shuffles his own deck. When you get down to 2 or 3 handed, get one of the players that are out to deal, and have the button shuffle the other deck.

Thanks for the reply. That's pretty much what we do, but I was hopeful there was a good shuffler out there.

there are card shufflers that will automatically shuffle a deck of cards without someone touching it. So you can put a deck in, play the hand with a different deck then next hand put the deck you just used in and take out the shuffled one. Unfortunately this is a casino grade machine and prob will put you back a pretty penny. Also this machine would have to be mounted right into the table to work.

$14K, and they don't lease them to anyone except casinos.

They're available to the public now, last I heard. But yeah, they're like $14 or 15K

I got one from my wife last year as a gift, it pretty much sits on the shelf except for the occasional use to make her feel like she didnt waste her $

I've had good success with two decks. The dealer has his deck, and the small blind is getting the next deck ready.
At first, it's not much faster, until people are used to it. Often times we'll have the small blind not paying attention and he won't start shuffling until the previous hand is done, but eventually it runs really smoothly, with the cards being dealt from the new deck before the old deck is even fully gathered up.
Heads up, the hands go so quick that we usually have two dedicated dealers who alternate with the two decks.
