Can I move up to 5-10 limit?

Hey whatsup all, I'm fairly new to holdem and I'm looking for some advice. I started play a few weeks ago using this dudes system and I've been doing really well, ran my 50 bucks up 300, down to 200, and then back up to 285 or a week playing 1/2 at truepoker.

My question is, how much of a skill difference is there at a higher limit table like 3/6 or 5/10?

I'm using this system and it was shocking how well its been working, I don't know if my luck will continue but I'm wondering if I should stick with 1/2 or more up cuz im getting greedy since I keep winning.

The system warns me not to jump up because its a tight conservative strategy and loses its effectiveness against other good players, but do you think there truly is a big difference between 3-6 players and 1-2 players?

from what ive been told its just a straight strategy play by the odds and whatnot, so can i expect to win at higher limits playing that way? cuz damn its sure been fun at 1/2.

Tricky one that. No-one here can say YES or NO, just go try it. The important thing is that however much money u were prepared to lose at 1/2, u gotta be prepared to risk losing 5 times that at a 5/10 table. That might change ur mind!

I win lots of low single table tournies and always make money at tables $2 and under. But I got it handed to me at the 3/6 table twice and won't be back for a while.

Yes it does make a huge difference. Just consider the bankroll difference. For me a solid bankroll at 1/2 is about $150, at a 2/4 it's about 400 and at 3/6 I wouldn't want in with less than $700. People who will put that much money in are gonna play tighter and stronger. A strtegy based on people fishing, grinding a few extra dollars out of people who call the flop on rags and such will not pan out. But if you fell you are winnning on solid play and the fishers are like an extra bonus, the winnings are much better at the 3/6. My buddy plays it, and if he wasn't such a degenerate he would have made quite a lot of money.
