When you talk poker and post % etc it would help to know if you are playing 6, 9 or 10 players per table, also what stakes you are playing. Doles book Super Systems is now the oldest poker book ever, I personally believe its relevance for online poker is vague, the basics apply and it’s a great book but you need to get more reading material more suited to the online games and stakes you are playing.

Keep the faith, 12 months is not long in poker experience, however you need to understand why your loosing money, take the time after a session to see where you could have improved your play, its small adjustments in your game that will make the difference.

Professional No-limit Holdem: Volume 1 by Ed Miller, this is for an intermediate player as a beginner may have difficulty grasping some of the concepts. Its still a relatively old book published in 2007, concentrates on cash game strategy with 100 Big Blinds and less. Understanding the concepts in this book will advance your game.
Always remember when reading any book, its a two way street, you need to know what to do as well as having an understanding of what others will be attempt against you.

Make any adjustments in your game slowly, the margins between a winning or loosing player are not that great.

Not knowing what hands you're playing or what type of reads you're getting on your opponents, I can only say that, from what you posted, you should be raising more and calling less. Again, this is just based on what you have posted, which can mean many things. Calling is part of the game, but I think you'll find you'll be more successful if you either raise or fold in many of those situations in which you're currently calling.

Just my opinion.

I would ask the question as to whether you are sticking to good bankroll management.

If you are depositing $200 and playing the $0.50-$1 stakes - this would suggest you are taking $100 to the table (on average). This is 50% of your total bankroll which is far too much.

I would suggest if you have $200 in your account and want to increase your bankroll properly - you shouldn't be risking more than 5% at any one time.

In this case you need to be taking $10 to the $0.05-$0.10 tables. This may seem a little shitty, but poker includes massive swing variences. If you are serious about making money playing poker - you need to have a bankroll to deal with the negitive swings.

I would also suggest you start posting some hands on the forum as we may be able to help you identify areas which may leak you money etc.

ok here is a hand that i slow played,it was only me and one player sitting at the table.blinds is 10/20 it was Ac As so preflop i raised 0.90,he called, the flop came and 10h 8h 4s so i checked,he checked back to me,turn came qs,so he checked and bet 1$ and he called,so i figured he is on pair q,river came and its a 7d so the table is 10 8 4 q 7,so he bets 3,60 and i call and he sits with 5 6,so he it a straight.

Surely you shouldn't have given him a free card with that flop?
