Casino Rama Hold ‘Em Poker Tournament 2004
May 17th – Jun 14th – Jul 19th – Aug 16th - Sep 20th – Oct 18th
Eligible Entrants
1. All individuals 19 years of age or older are eligible to enter except officers, directors, employees or their spouses of Casino Rama, Casino Rama Services Inc., Penn Gaming, Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation or the Alcohol and Gaming Commission.
Entry Requirements
1. Participants must be in good standing at Casino Rama and must have a valid players card.
2. The administration fee is $20. The initial buy-in is $100 for which every participant will receive $1000 in tournament chips. Total prize pool will be dependent upon the number of entrants.
3. Participants must register in person and will be on a first come first serve basis.
4. Patrons playing in the tournament must be registered and meet the above qualifications, no substitutions allowed. If for any reason a contestant is unable to attend the tournament, they will sacrifice both the administration fee ($20) and the initial buy-in ($100).
5. Patrons will pay for their entries through the Casino Rama Poker Cage.
6. Registration for Fall Classic Tournament accepted immediately. Registration for all other tournaments will be accepted approximately one month in advance of each individual tournament date.
7. Check – In and seat allocation start at 10:30am. Tournaments start at 12 noon.
8. Casino Rama reserves the right to cancel a Poker Tournament for any reason, on or before the above dates. If cancelled, all entry fees will be returned and neither party shall have further liability to the other.
Poker Tournament Structure
1. The prize pool will consist of all buy-ins, re-buys and add-ons. $1450 will be withheld from each tournament and will be used to fund the 1st through 5th place winners entry into the Casino Rama Fall Classic Poker Tournament. 10% of the remaining prize pool of each tournament will be added directly to the Casino Rama Fall Classic Poker Tournament’s prize pool.
1st place 40%, 2nd place 20%, 3rd place 15%, 4th place 10%, 5th place 5%, 6th place through 10th place 2%.
2. The tournament will be played in segments called ‘levels’. The first three levels will be 30 minutes in length with subsequent levels being 20 minutes each. The blinds and betting limits of each level will progressively increase. Starting Level 3 and the remainder of the tournament will be ‘No-Limit’.
3. During levels 1, 2 and 3, (first 1½ hours of play) each participant having less than $1000 in tournament chips shall have the option to ‘re-buy’. The participant wishing to re-buy will give the dealer $50 in chips or cash and receive $500 in tournament chips. There shall be unlimited re-buys to participants that qualify in this period.
4. Players who lose all of their tournament chips and do not wish to re-buy shall be considered no longer part of the tournament.
5. All re-buys must be completed before the end of level 3.
6. Immediately after the first 1½ hours of play, every remaining participant shall have the option to make one ‘add-on’. The participant wishing to add-on will give the dealer $75 in chips or cash and receive $1000 in tournament chips.
7. When we are down to two tables the games will be played ‘hand for hand’. Both tables will play the same number of hands until down to one table.
8. When 11 or fewer players remain, they will draw for position on the final table.
9. The blinds on the final table shall begin with the next level.
Poker Tournament Rules of Play
1. A hand will be dealt to all playing positions where there are chips, regardless of whether there is a player present or not. If the absent player is required to post a blind, the dealer will take the appropriate amount from that players bankroll. The hand shall be considered live if the player returns to the table before it is their turn to act. The hand will be mucked if the player is not present to act.
2. A player who exposes a hand to a ‘live’ player will forfeit all monies in the pot and the hand is folded.
3. Any player caught cheating, or who demonstrates offensive behavior towards employees or other players may be disqualified from the tournament.
4. Final table: If two players are remaining, the puck goes to the small blind. If more than one player is eliminated at the completion of a hand, the awarding of prize money will be based on the amount in the players bankroll at the start of the hand. Players must keep their chips stacked in a fashion so that they can be easily ‘read’ by other participants and employees. A chip count will be conducted at the start of the final table.
5. When it is time to ‘colour-up’ the players at each table will ‘race’ for the chips At the end of the 3rd level, all of the participants $25 tournament chips will be converted to $100 tournament chips. All of the participants ‘odd’ chips will be pooled and rounded up in value. For each odd chip a patron held, he/she would receive one card. The highest cards will each receive one unit of the coloured up chips. You cannot be knocked out of the tournament during a race. At the end of the 7th level, all $100 will be converted into $1000 chips using the same method as above. For the purposes of this ‘race’ the cards will be ranked Spades, Hearts, Diamonds, Clubs with the Ace of Spades being the highest value and the 2 of clubs being the lowest.
6. Players who are no longer in the tournament must leave the table.
7. Any dispute that may arise during tournament play will be submitted to the tournament manager whose decision is final. Any protest must be made immediately when a situation arises. If a situation arises that stops play on a table, play on all games will cease until the situation is rectified.
8. All hands will be played until a winner is declared.
9. Other than stated above, house rules apply.
10. All prize winners are subject to AGCO, Provincial and Federal regulations and must comply to receive any prize money.
11. The decision of the tournament manager is final.

I'm thinking about entering the tournament on the 19th, but i was wondering how? Do i just show up early and register or do i have to call ahead of time?

My guess is our "guest" is the one who is an idiot. Not only did he bump an old post, he must have thought it was new and all the dates for Casino Rama have expired. However, there is still one left. Who is the idiot now Mr. "guest"?
