I jst got a sample of their new 12g 3 color chips, they are WAY nicer than I expected. No metal in them whatsoever, they stack and shuffle well too... I was surprised because I have pretty much hated the 11.5g chips I have seen...

They have metal in them. Did you try using a magnet?

I almost bought the tri-color 12g ones because from the pics they looked different than any on the market. And this is what got me to upping my budget to 50 cents per chip. But then I got 3 chips as samples and was disappointed. They were colorful, to be sure, but they just looked like painted on chips. However what really killed the deal was that they were not all the same size. The black one was noticeably smaller that the other 2. Just a little, but definitely something you could see and feel by holding two of them together.

Weird mine are all the same size... they are considerably nicer than the 5star chips. There is no metal, I not only used a magnet, I broke them open! LOL
