Cheap poker games on line?

Postby Andyman » Tue Mar 03, 2009 5:22 pm GMT

Hello poker players!
Excuse me if this is the incorrect folder but I couldn't figure out which one might be best to ask this. Can anyone point to some online games that are in the 5 cent, 10 cent and 25 cent games. Everything I see so far is all way more than that.

Thanks!

Both Poker Stars and Full Tilt have games all the way down to .01/.02. They are the two most respectable sites with the largest player bases, you should have no problem starting there.

First off please define games, do you mean cash games or tournaments?

Are those buy-in's or blinds? If they're blinds there are a few sites that do 1c-2c games and many that do 5c-10c. NB: For cash games the buy-in is usually about 100x the big blind so for the previously mentioned games you'd need $2 and $10 to sit down and a bank roll of about 10x that if you want a chance to go bust a few times.

Advice, if anyone wants to suggest a site and you have less than 50 posts, pm it to him. Don't post a link.

I'l just looking for a cash game I guess where I can say bank in maybe $20 or so and then be able to play 5c - 25c games...does that make sense? I'm playing on PokerStars but only for play money and I don't want to hve to bank in like $100.

If your bankroll is $20 you shouldn’t play anything higher than 1c-2c games (also referred to as $2NL).

The reason is simple. If you sit down at a 5c-10c table you’ll have $10* in front of you which will be half your bankroll. You might get AA in the first hand and lose to KK. The idea is that you play low enough stakes to avoid these swings from busting you.

*Or you could sit down and play a short stack strategy but I don’t think that’s why your playing.

well if u deposit 20$ on pokerstars , like its been said u can play 1c/2c NL , just buy in with 2$

if u play well its probably enough to get going unless u hit a really bad run in the start

and u wont find any lower games than that online
