Check out this shit.
Yesterday I am sitting in the poker room at Jai lai , Playing at a 1/1 table . I got dealt K
10
in late position. I raised it to $3 got a few callers. Flop came K
10
I don't remember the 3rd card doesn't matter as it never came to play.
checks around to the guy on my left he bets $5 I raise to $15 BB instant calls. No I am sure she has 9J 0r AQ or Q9 maybe K with small kicker but pretty sure she is on a straight draw.
The original better makes a big show of thinking then mucks his hand in "anger" unfortunately he throws his cards across the table . One goes right into here hand. The dealer stops the hand calls a floor supervisor over. The dealer explains what happens the supervisor apologizes to the woman and rules her cards dead. Which leaves me with the only live cards in the hand.
OFC she starts arguing which I had to agree that wasn't fair to her. So I offered to chop the pot. 1/2 out of a sense of fair play 1/2 out of fear supervisor might let her play her hand and she would hit her straight lol.
She accepted the chop floor supervisor said that it was ok even though chops pots are against rules at this poker room. I showed my K10 she showed J9 .
Then I was sitting there quite happy with the split I just knew in my gut she was going to hit that draw if it went to the river :D Either that or I got screwed out of a real nice pot

Well, I am quite surprised you were happy to split the pot while being about 82% favourite, and you even guessed her hand quite precisely.

Madness. If she doesn't protect her hand, she deserves the harsh lesson that it gets mucked when someone throws a card at it.

Good point half sugar. If it ( which I doubt will) ever happens again I will just take the pot I couldn't help but feel it was unfair.

poker is combat, I'll use any legal means possible to drag a pot. Not my fault she wasn't paying attention.

Re: Check out this shit.
look buddy, i guess you will find this method cool:
2 pairs = 4 outs right? then you multiply your outs by 2 (4x2 = 8%) you had 8%+8% to hit a full house in the turn+river..
she had only 4 outs, 4x2 = 8%...
basically you and she had the same % of hitting a better hand, but the diference is THAT YOU ALREDY HAD THE BEST HAND...
but ok, maybe you was afraid of she having pocket pair and hitting a set or whatever...
but in my opinion you had all the odds in your favor

Or you can just multiply outs by 4 on flop and 2 on turn yeah I knew I was ahead. I am just scared of suck outs I seem to run into them a lot. I am king of losing to one outers.
