Coin Flips
I was playing in a $1/$2 NL cash game this weekend, and I made a fold that might be questionable. I had AK and raised about $15-$20 before the flop. I got 1 or 2 callers before someone went all-in on top of my raise for about $80 more. I had only been playing at this game for an hour or two and had seen this particular player make this move before, but I wasn't quite sure what it meant at this point. I folded my AK, and someone ended up calling. The all-in player was holding Q10 and hit a pair of Q's on the flop to win the pot.
The reason I folded is because I figured that if he had any pocket pair, the best case scenario was a coin flip and I'd need to hit to win it. While I see many players jump at this sort of opportunity, I'm not quite comfortable in risking almost $100 on a coin flip with AK. In a tournament, I would probably snap call his all-in, but in a cash game, I'd rather cut my losses and save my money for another pot.
I know I made the wrong read, but this topic is more about the general idea of coin flips when a correct read is made and if you are comfortable risking a large portion of your stack in a coin flip. What do you think?

Assuming this is the same game as you have written about before, I'd snap the all-in. I'd probably do it in any game against all but the nittiest players.
In your juicy game, it's probably not unreasonable to suggest that the AIPF player is holding A9+, any two broadway cards or any pair in which case AK is 59.5% against that range. No all-in bet could get me off that if that range is good.

Re: Coin Flips
It is indeed the game I had written about before, but like I said, I hadn't been at the table that long, so I wasn't able to get an accurate read on his hand. Although the general style at that place is unbelievable loose, there are still a good amount of quality players that play there, and usually there are 1 or 2 at any given table.
And just a little after thought: he went all-in against a preflop raise later on with pocket 7s (he was up against multiple players including pocket Js but collected the huge pot after hitting a 7 for a full house on the river). He also bluffed me off a winning hand on the river, but not without giving away a blatant physical tell that I used in future hands to save myself some money.

This is a very easy all in/call all in if you are sitting with $200 or playing for that or less and in this case you were.
