Color and Brak down
Sorry for the Repeat but i for got to log in before posting
I am Getting Very intrested in Building a Very Capable Collection of Chips for my newly constructed Hold'em Table. I need The Color Code to Cash Value list for my chips. I'm getting a full set of 2000 10g chips here in a few days and I want to make sure my chips are properly distributed. that and I want to make sure I got the proper knowledge so I don't look like a complete fool with my poker buddies...
So Far I've only had the cheep plastic Waffer thin chips, in the standard three colors or white red and blue. at the current cash values:
$5-White
$10-Red
$25-Blue
I figure that these Values are completely wrong and now I want to know the actual Values for chips because if I'm going to have a passion for the game, then i'm going to need to know the proper infomation...
Also, I want to know how many chips of each Color I should give out for each Dollar ammount. For Example: I get $10.00 from let call him Bob, What Chips should I give him...
Thats about all I need to know for now... Thank you in advance...

There is no ONE color scheme that all casinos follow.
The general scheme, most commonly followed, is:
$1 --white or blue
$5 --red
$25--green
$100--black
$500--purple
There are sites that give more extensive lists. Things get creative when you introduce intermediate denominations. My set of Crystal Park Casino chips uses $5 yellows and has $2 greens with maroon $10's. They don't even have a red chip in their rack.
It's your game--you can make the denominations any color you like, but the closer you stick to the predominant scheme, the less confusion.
