Couple of Omaha questions
Played it "for real" for the first time last night in our home game. I gotta tell you the pots were huge for the most part. Of the biggest pots of the night, I'd say Omaha produced about 7 of the 10 biggest and easily the top 4.
Oh yeah I had some questions...
Anyone recommend a good book for Omaha, preferabley one that covers the different games it includes (high low, pot and NL, and I think I'm missing one or two other ones).
Also what is the most common version? Is it pot limit?

For High, Pot Limit is the most common, while for high-low limit is far more common (and PLO8 is stupid IMO).
I have yet to read to read a good Omaha book, but I've heard decent things about Ciaffone's book.
Overall, I'd say Omaha is a pretty basic game. Only play hands with 4+ live combinations, bet your good draws strongly, and draw only to the nuts (or the top full house, which isn't quite the nuts, but close enogh).

for hi-lo split, basically only play hands where you have a reasonable chance of making a scoop (winning both the hi and the lo). (for example a good starting hand being, say, A
K
K
2
)
And when considering calling or betting, always remember 'the nuts are out there' Hands like trips & small straights almost never win...

I don't think that's strictly true. In all split games you either want a good two way hand or a very strong one way hand.
For example, in omaha split A246 is a strong enough one way hand, or AAJTds. Hands like 4567 go down in value a lot in split, because your hi hand will almost certainly give someone else a low, so stay away from those.
NL Omaha is very rarely played, but is very similar strat wise to PL. I have read Caiffones Omaha book, it has been republished to include some different variations.
It covers split, fl and pl omaha games and is well worthy of a read if you want to learn the game. You can get the book directly from him at pokercoach.us (off the top of by head)
