crazy 2+2 side bet
did anyone hear about this bet? to win $10,000 at NL25 full ring in 31 days.
shits crazy... whats more crazy is: a Dutch player on a Dutch forum is gonna do the same bet, but at 25NL 6max, also on Everest poker where the max ammount of tables at the same time is 12 instead of 24.
i have bet $1000 against him at 2.5:1. what do you think?

Bad idea, your just lost 1000$
How hard is it for the guy to take a month and see if he can actually make 10,000$ before he starts making bets?
and shit if i quit having friends, a job, and a fiance i could spend a year get my poker game close to flawless and then spend 16 hours a day playing poker for a month.

not such a bad bet. he does have to make 13 buyins a day for a month, that could be quite tough if he has one losing day, that just means that much worse the next day. good luck

So if you quit your job for a year you could make $1,000 bucks off a prop bet? Fascinating.
I also didn't realize it took only a year of studying to get your game to a level of "flawlessness" that you can easily wager about making 400 buyins in a single month. Since you're such a quick study, why not take a year off from the real life, put aside an easy million or two in the bank off this simple game and then rejoin the workforce? Easy!

well im pretty damn sure he did NOT already took a month time to see if he could do it. because he came up with the idea after this 2+2 bet, which has been only going on for a few days now, and it utilises the same rules etc. so theres no way he already did it

Wow ok guys no need to jump all over me, all i was trying to say there's guys out there with enough time to get really good at poker and have the free time to play 16 hours a day. Yes i take back my statement it would take longer than a year to get near flawless but you get my drift.
I DID NOT check the 2+2 forums to read exactly what the rules were but it's the internet and it sound like an easy enough scam in my head. --> Run through a month see if you can do some feat which sound really really hard and then start taking bets on it once your pretty sure you can do it.
Applogies for jumping to a conclusion.

Another thought for why this could be a scam...
If the guy taking the bets has a buddy who's also good at poker that easily makes for 24/7 grinding for a month with 12 hours on 12 hours off. They could still do something besides eat/sleep/poker for a month doing this. And with enough side bets why not? If I could make an 20-40k extra in a month i know I'd put in the hours.
Maybe there's another rule that negates this thought but there's so much more. It just seems like there's to many things that could happen when you can't watch the guy in person.

How many did he do?
I dunno... like 35,000?
haha nah man, he actually did 26K hands on his FIRST DAY alone. which is f*cking retardedly sick.. he has 100K+ by now
i am following that thread of course and it looks like he is having a terrible run at the moment (last few days)... he is not feeling good about it etc.
this bodes well for me i reckon
