Cross Country Road Trip

Postby teaser1070 » Mon Mar 29, 2004 12:27 am GMT

I was wondering if there was a place on line where I could find Casino's with poker rooms. My friend and I were thinking of taking a two or three week cross country trip to play texas hold em. Any info you can give would be appreciated. We live in NY state...

Well I just got back from a business trip to NM and there is a great poker room at Sandia Casino. The players and dealers are all very friendly. I liked it a lot because I'm not a great poker player (played for about 3 months now) and I turned $100 rack into $500, so I would say your odds are pretty good. ;)

btw: I was playing 4/8

Colorado has a few casinos in the mountains right off of Interstate 70. There are poker rooms with plenty of Hold'em.

Google: Blackhawk, CO

MN has a great card room w/ over 30 active tables, weekly tourneys and a bad beat jackpot. Check out www.canterburypark.com for more info.

Geno-I hope I dont get in trouble. I have zero to gain by posting the site.

I know from Michigan to Chicago and across Wisc and into MN and down to Iowa and St Louis there are many casinos that either have or will have holdem soon. You could stop somewhere ever 2-3 hours.

Hmmm...I hardly doubt you will get in trouble Dave. After all, you have been here for a loooong, looong time.

Regarding the Casino's in Colorado. I've gone up to Blackhawk a number of times and have yet to find a casino that has holdem tables. Seems these casinos prefer video poker over the real deal. If you know of a particuliar casino please let me know and I'll frequent it monthly!

Chedda, for Texas Hold'em go to:

The Lodge Casino
240 Main Street
Black Hawk, Colorado 80422

You will find hold'em there...In fact, they have 22 poker tables, not all Tx but it is the most popular game.

Good Luck Chedda. I have only been there a few times, but it is a good place to play.
