Custom ASM / Pokerchips.com -Is this normal or defective?
I just got my order of 500 custom ASM/PC.com chips and I noticed what I think are defects. Could anyone who has a set tell me if this is normal.
The good quality chips have a consistent finish throughout the label and body of the chip (non-reflective matte finish) and the line where label meets body is smooth and defined. Same as the samples I was sent.
The defective chips have shiny labels that are smooth and reflective (The shiny lables are to varying degrees), that show scratch marks from just the shipping and the line where label meets body is more rough almost jagged. You can scrape at the body with your finger nail. (this is not possible on the good chips)
So was your set like this? Some lables very shiny, some a little shiny, and the majority non-reflective? Thee edge of the body and lable not always smooth and defined?

Sounds like they may have forgotten to place the protective laminate over the inlay when it was compressed into the chip? I think it may be worth contacting ASM about it. It doesn't sound right.
