"Deal it twice"
Hey guys.
So I've got pro cards, tournament's working well, still playing friendly games most every day, but I'm always watching videos/reading books to up my game.
While watching some Phil Hellmuth videos just now, he mentioned something about asking the dealer to "deal it twice" but didn't explain. I was wondering if you legends could help me out with it, what exactly does it mean and when are you allowed to do it?
Cheers.

Dealing Twice
An agreement between players where when there is no more betting,
to have the rest of the cards to come determine only half the pot,
removing those cards, and dealing again for the other half of the pot.
More common (but still rare) in larger Pot Limit or No Limit games.
You can also hear this called "run'em twice". A player must win both hands to collect the entire pot. If not then it is split. It usually happens in ring games but never tournaments (or at least not to the best of my knowledge).

A slight clarification, "usually" isn't quite accurate.
When it happens, it's universally in ring (cash) games, but it is not a common occurence. The usual pattern is just to play out the hand.
But supa's right, it's never going to happen at the $2/$4 game at the casino.

That's easy...close your eyes and mute it...
