Dealer looking at you hand after it is over
I was at a home game this weekend, tournament style, and there were a couple of people ther that were kind of new to the game. Well, one of the newer people wanted to see what another of the players had after he won a pot, everyone else folded and he just mucked his hand. It was this person's turn to deal and when the cards were thrown to him he just looked at them. What is the penality for this as it is a clearly cheating?

DEATH :x
Let him know immeadiately that it's not acceptable to do that, and knock his teeth out to make your point.
OK, OK...maybe that's a bit severe. Just let the newbs know the rules/etiquette CLEARLY so it does not occur again.

As said before, NO RABBIT HUNTING!!! One of my regulars, who is always welcome because he's a chaser that usually pays to watch after an hour or so, loves trying that and after the first time he did it he was set straight. If you want to know what the next card is....pay!!!

Awww, you're no fun. Actually, if we hunt the rabbit (and it doesn't happen often), we ask everyone at the table if they're okay with it before flipping the next cards.
As for looking at a mucked hand......you'd get smacked around for that in a game I was playing. Sure you want to know what they had, but you have to pay to see it. Those are the rules. I've actually played in a game (it was very strict) that if you did that you'd have to pay the pot to the mucker. No one ever had to do it, but no one ever looked either.
Bad form.
Note to self.....don't make puckjunkie angry.

what happens when you have to "drop the gloves??" :D
back to the original topic....this is NOT allowed. as others have said, if you want to see someone's cards, then you have to pay. either put some kind of financial penalty in your rules, or physically escort the offender from the premises. (after the offender is warned. one time and one time only)

Yeah
Yes, someone looking at the cards sucks.
I was playing a couple of days ago and my obnoxious friend looked at my cards. The game had come down to a 3-handed game. Well, it is a rule of ours not to look at cards. But I was on a rush and so my two friends were pissed and voted on it and decide that they could look at any cards. Well, that ended up costing me a pot. I bet into a pot and I had a very good hand and my friend was coaxing over his decision to play or not. After about 2 minutes, I thought he said "I fold." So I didn't put my cards in the muck, I put them in the middle of the deck. Well, it turned out, he hadn't said anything, and I lost the pot. Now normally, if someone accidentally puts their cards on the top of the muck, they can get them. But my obnoxious friend was peering over us and I knew he would look, so I put the cards in the middle of the deck. Lost a pot, stupid of me.

Um this is bad.Sometime in our games we will rabbit hunt. But not to often. But as for looking at cards we usually have a penalty.U lose about a buck from you stack if you look at a player mucked cards.
Make some kind of penalty.Like lossing some chips to the next pot or giving the smallest denomnation chip to the player, who has had his mucked cards looked at.
Just some ideas

Official penalties in WSOP and WPT are suspensions from table for 10,20, oe 30 minutes where blinds are posted for you and you are immediatly folded.
