Debit card.....uh oh.....Phil?????

Postby Dave B » Tue May 08, 2007 9:07 am GMT

I saw y'alls post on debit cards, so I tried it and it worked. Well, until today when the money was backed out of my checking acct.

So, now I wonder if Full Tilt is going to nail me with returned deposit fees. Luckily, I am up-so I wont be overdrawn there, but what happens if you are negative at a poker site?

Phil or any others that have done this, I would wait and see before playing. If you are down, work hard to get up so that you are covered. If you are up, dont do anything silly.

Well that sucks...mine hasn't gone back, although i'm done about $100. I have no idea what happens if your in the red at a poker site.

The other thing I've heard specifically mentioned (about UB in particular) is if you call the poker site before you deposit, they will tag it with a special merchant code so that it won't raise a flag.

I'm pretty sure I'm safe as I think I've been on for about a week now.

For you americans, that one should be easy to get away from these days. :) Atleast one bonus-effect from the stupid online gambling act.

The charge popped back up today under a new name. Let's see if this one makes it!

How can you "Get in the red" at a poker site? You either have funds there, or you don't. Please tell me what I'm missing.

them possibly charging you a NSF fee for bouncing a dep, or something like that...

personally I doubt any online site would be stupid enough to charge an NSF fee... if anything you think they would be bending over backwards for people trying to make a dep...

As said above...
this is a blatent attempt by the poker room to fraud the credit processors. This will end poorly for them. Article on egr about related incident:

[i]Reuters reports that seven people and four companies have been indicted on charges of “conspiring to violateâ€
