My sister and brother-in-law asked that I host a poker game at my house while they were in town. Naturally I obliged. Well, I had just gotten a check for $50.00 for my birthday, so I cashed it and bought in myself and the hubby (it was just a friendly $20 buy-in $.25/.50 NL game).

I doubled up on the first hand with AK and it just kept getting better from there. I ended up cashing out with $190.00.

I love it when you're running hot, because you can play nearly every hand (and I did!). My brother-in-law is still fuming about my breaking his kings with a J8o, catching the case jack on the river.


My sister took this pic about halfway through the game. Eventually I broke all but 2 players and we ended up just having a drinkfest to finish off the night. I wish I could have a night like that at the Trop!

Hah! It's half of a ping pong table, but it worked. Our other table only seats 6 comfortably.
