Discuss tourney vs ring
Lately I have been playing more ring games then tourneys and i find my bank roll is definitely doing better. But tourneys = more fun for me . So I keep plugging away at minimal buy in tourneys .
I have come to the conclusion that tourneys Though playing good helps you need plenty of luck to win them. Tourney forces you to play aggressive . see more pots You have to get your money out there when blinds are small so you can try and make the money .
Where as in a cash game specially online with fish . You can just sit back chill out w8 for premo hands and keep your losses minimal .
Do you agree disagree ? Do you play rings same as MTT and STT?
P.S I like to post hahaha something to do while waiting for hands to play. These boards are dead . Trying to liven em up a little :D

Different Strategies. Just because the game is No Limit Hold'em doesn't mean you should play all NLH the same.
You need to run good when you are in tournaments, but you need to run good to have winning sessions in cash games too.

Re: Discuss tourney vs ring
I am thinking a more aggressive style is needed in a tourney or SnG . I never played a r/l tourney except my weekly game in which I play aggressive Most of the people I play with at that game are Tight players. So aggressive style works well for me there. Though on the weeks this one guy shows up I don't do as well he plays slop huge raises every hand never folds (rebuys 3-5x) I <3 the guy he is good for $40 when he shows up usually. But I find myself re-buying 2 or 3x when he plays so loose and aggressive I get caught all in PF mormy e then I like . And his chip stacks go up down every hand so When he gets lucky it hurts.
I am thinking about entering alive tourney thats coming up. Never played a live tourney. Trying to decide if I want to play aggressive or passive . guess i will just have to wait and see what the comp looks like
