Do you do 'other stuff' when playing poker online?

Postby jimmer » Sun Mar 14, 2010 3:59 pm GMT

I’m just sat here writing a few thousand words on the symptoms of depression and manic depression (sometimes known as bipolar affective disorder – for those of you who are interested!) and am bored out my brains!

So, I’ve logged onto Pokerstars and am playing some $0.05-$0.10 NLHE just to liven up my otherwise boring essay.

On a totally different subject, my brother-in-law likes to play a little poker online while cooking his dinner.

So all this got me thinking:

When you are playing poker online, are you doing other stuff too or is it 100% poker and nothing else. If you do other stuff, it may also be interesting to confirm how many tables you play while doing other stuff.

Anywhere between 4 and 6 tables and I'm usually on IRC, checking emails, reading news sites, nothing too bad.

If I am playing a klonk and that's it 1 table I prolly watch something.

Depends on what he fancies, Sometimes it's fish and rice, other times it's roast chicken and veg. I once saw him make a salad.

i don't do anything but play.

me and my g/f have a deal worked out. when she gets home from work we spend time together but around 9-930 i sit down at the comp... tv off bust open 8 tables (tiled on 2 monitors) so no spare room to see anything else and have a session for 2 hr. the only thing i have in the backround is the radio.

I do play online poker and at the same time downloading some mp3 soings, mobile games and reading news. Often when i feel bored to the game (since in FT MTT, most of the players are novice poker players that they are going to waste a few minutes to decide on what to do.) I sometimes check emails and Facebook and reading some poker strategies.
