Dont you love these guys
ME kq CO 5 limps i make a small raise. 4x BB flop 3 9 q rainbow UTG raise 2x the pot I call turn is K UTG raises pot sized bet . OFC I call river is an ace UTG all in I call he shows pocket jacks .
How is it these fish can't see 3 over cards above their pocket pair and think they still have the best hand. Oh well I love those guys Their money smells so good

I don't think villain thought he had the best hand, he rather thought an ace might scare you. Would you call the river with one pair, like KJ, QJ, QT?

If I had had top pair that turned into 2cnd pair on river with him betting steadily like that all the way I very well might of made the call. Hard to say I may never of called on the turn for all that if I hadn't hit 2 pair either So it could of gone either way . I do have a tendency to fold a winning hand over calling a losing hand.

Why are you making a small raise after 5 limps with KQ.

Just trying to beef up the pot a little . My style of play If I am limping I am extremely weak and probably just playing for pot odds or a hand I like to play . Otherwise I raise usually 2-5x BB depending on the size of the pot and the size of my stack . I like juicy pots . It seems to work for me I win more money then I lose usually Though the last 2 weeks meh not so pretty

We all like juicy pots, but I prefer to have a juicy pot 5 handed when I don't have KQo.

Stop this. 'Beefing the pot' with a hand like KQo after 5 limpers who are all likely to call from the sounds of how much you raised (puke) just means you are setting yourself up to lose more money. You must see that? The only thing you have going for yourself is position but flopping QXX or KXX vs five players playing any two cards is a great spot to lose money.

Did you actually get only 1 caller pre-flop? It's not so clear, as you discribed.
UTG's limp call with JJ was really bad here.

well for one I didn't say it was off suit. To be 100% honest I can't remember now if it was suited or off I think if it was off I would of said KQo . But really for me that is pointless. I like KQ suited or not. My playing style may not work for you, but it works for me. I don't play slop poker but I do play a a little aggressive and a little loose. 4x BB is not that big of a raise was little better then 1/2 the pot . to be exact was $8 into a $13 pot. Even if I had missed the flop completely I have momentum to make a bluff or I can lay my hand down and fold it if the flop scares me.
Losing chips is a part of poker. The key is to win more then you lose. You could argue that a limp or a $4 (2xbb) raise would of been better here, Or even a pot sized bet to try and make a semi bluff. Really after my raise UTG with pocket jacks should of Re-raised me Which would of resulted in me folding and kissing my my chips good-bye. Thankfully he didn't
I think I have a good balance in my style. Hell I must be doing something right. In my weekly live game I take first or 2cnd almost every week . Did have a run of crap where I only placed in the money 3 or 4 times over 12 weeks. when I go to the casino I usually walk away with 2-5x what I sat down with. Hell the only 2x I lost all my chippies at a live ring game at the poker room was once on a bad beat and just the other week when I didn't see a winning hand the whole time I was in . Was to stupid to get up and leave so I kept blinding my chips off
@odlozilik I think I got 2 of the limpers out pre flop along with dealer and the blinds. Everyone else fold on the flop when UTG bet $42 or so .
This was a few days ago and I was on online. I just happened to be browsing this forum while in that hand so I posted this then. Probably why I don't do as well online as I do live. I am always doing something else online while waiting for a hand to play. Instead of watching people play. can't say I do to bad online though Still on the same 50 i deposited a year ago Not that it has grown as much as I would like Though I did withdraw my original 50 a month or so back . poker is a fun hobby for me that is all. I usually stick to the .10/.25 tables now and again I go to bigger tables I play 1/2 1 or 2x a week and 5/10 once in awhile but I am an hour south of the ocala poker room in Florida and an hour north of the hard rock casino in Tampa so usually if I want to play serious poker I go to a live game I get better reads and play better when i can see my opponents

If you lost, yes you would play poker. I play in a league with about 25-30 players and about 7 or 8 people are winners in the long run I reckon. The others still play quite hapily.
Overall, it wouldn't surprise me at all if 90% of players are losing players, most just tend to not accept/realise that and a lot just play because it is fun and are not trying to make money.
